Overview
Located in the centre of Sairee beach in Koh Tao, Savage Hostel boasts shared and private accommodation, a rooftop swimming pool and bar overlooking views of the ocean and the island. Free high-speed WiFi is available throughout the property. The shared dorm accommodation rooms are all air-conditioned and feature designer private pods equipped with privacy screens, electronic safe-deposit boxes, electrical outlets, as well as reading and ambient lighting. The private rooms and private suites at the hostel are all air-conditioned and are equipped with Smart TV’s, electronic safe-deposit boxes, private bathrooms and mini-bar fridges. The hostel features lounge areas for relaxation and a large rooftop terrace with a swimming pool, outdoor lounge seating, shaded areas, bar and a pool table for guests’ enjoyment. The staff at reception speak English, French and Thai and are willing to help at any time of the day. Koh Tao’s famous Sairee beach is located 8 metres from Savage Hostel, while Bluewater Café and Bar is located only 2 metres from the property.

“Outstanding Staff and a Fantastic Hostel Experience”
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I am incredibly happy with my stay here. The beds are comfortable, the atmosphere is great, and the staff truly go above and beyond for their guests. During my stay, I became very ill and found myself in a difficult situation, alone in Thailand. The hostel staff treated me with kindness, dignity, and respect when I needed it the most. A special thank you to the manager, Rosalyn (Rose), who deserves enormous credit for her compassion, professionalism, and dedication. This is a busy hostel with many guests, yet the housekeeping team does an amazing job keeping everything clean and well maintained. Every staff member I met had that little extra touch of warmth and genuine care that makes a place feel special. You can tell this is a positive workplace for the local staff, and I believe much of that comes from Rosalyn’s leadership. Thank you for taking such good care of me during a very difficult time. Your kindness meant more than you know. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Koh Tao. ❤️

“Loved it.”
The pool area was great and had really nice beds to lounge on. There was also a free bbq on one of the days which was a lovely touch. So close to the beach and surrounding bars/restaurants. Also close to a 7/11. The whole hostel had a very modern feel to it. Would’ve stayed longer if they had availability and would definitely return.

“Unreal hostel”

“Comfortable oasis”

Room was nice, even it was small. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Pool was amazing. Food is nice and common areas are good. It is hostel, and has best things from hostels. Beds are Best!

Great location, we had a private room and it was great. Compact but well designed, pool was nice, and liked they gave you pool towels.

Best hostel in koh Tao, comfort and style. Staff are amazing, polite and friendly, happy to help with absolutely anything! Rooms are clean and comfy (comfiest hostel bed I’ve stayed in!!) nice touch to have you’re own safe in your bed pod. Location is amazing for sunset, and not to forget the rooftop pool !

“DEFINITELY worth staying”
Such a great hostel, I was wanting to stay here for a while but was always booked up and I can see why! I managed to get lucky and get a few nights in and it was by far the BEST hostel I’ve stayed in. Dorms are well looked after with privacy, and facilities are always clean. Bonus of having a rooftop bar and pool. Solid food options too at the restaurant and great location!

“Yes! I got a spot in savage”
This hostel is legendary! So nice and feels more like a poshtel. The beds were incredible comfy. They even use toppers! Such a blessing for travellers backs… It is more of a party hostel as it’s located right next to sairee beach. They offer lots of activities and the staff is really really nice. The facilities are spotless. Due to it being located in a party area they designed the dorms to be inside / inner part of the building so that it’s really quiet during the night. Awesome hostel!

Only thing I didn’t love was that there is no lockers inside the dorms, so big bags are in another room. Got over it quickly though especially due to the mini lockers in the bed !
