“Fantastic memorable stay”

Fantastic views clean and very quiet

Wonderful place! Peaceful and quiet, far away from the busy part of the island. The bungalows were absolutely charming and cleaned daily, with everything we needed provided. The staff were always smiling and incredibly helpful. Delicious breakfasts and a very good restaurant at the hotel. We were truly sad that we couldn’t extend our stay. We had 3 other accommodations in Koh Tao, and this was def the best one! 11/10!

“Absolute paradise”

This place is absolutely stunning. The views are absolutely amazing. The infinity pool is like paradise. The lodges are perfect. Beautiful attention to detail and the best view from a bathroom I’ve ever had. You can watch the sunrise from your oh so comfortable bed and you are in complete privacy. The staff are wonderful and could not do enough for you. The inclusive breakfast was lovely and the restaurant serves very fresh authentic Thai food.

Very nice cottages with excellent view to the ocean! They have a good restaurant with nice and friendly staff. We can recommend this location but you need a scooter for travelling on the island, in high season you should book in advance in one of the rentals nearby the Pier. We had a good time on Koh Tao

Absolutely stunning location! In the trees, beautiful pool/breakfast. We hired a bike from the shop nearby, which was arranged for us and taxis if we need them.

Been very well received. 1 small downside are the mosquitoes. A mosquito net above the bed would be a great advantage. For the rest nothing to complain about, excellent hotel!

“A beautiful slice of paradise in the jungle”

Everything was so well thought of, the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, the food was amazing too and we ate here often. It felt like a piece of paradise in the jungle, away from the business of Sairee beach and the resort was just beautiful. It's the best place we have stayed on our travels and we will 100% be revisiting when we come back to Koh Tao

“The most lovely place we stayed at in Thailand!”

Location, staff advice, relaxed atmosphere

We spent two nights in Ecotao and they were amazing. The hotel is super cute, as the rooms and the swimming pool, with a beautiful view on the forest and the seaside. The breakfast is really tasty and prepared on the moment, but you can order as many plates as you like as it’s all you can eat. The location is stunning but quite distant to the sea and to the center of the island. Anyway they offer a great taxi service, on call and 24/24.

“Best experience with an hotel / resort so far”

We chose this place across the many options in Koh Tao for the good reviews and the nice pictures. Honestly, everything was truly amazing: the only regret is that we spent just 2 nights in this wonderful paradise. Starting from a warm welcome from the staff, who gave us plenty of advices on where to go and how to move in the island (they have a taxi and a scooter rental service that work very well), plus free snorkeling masks that we used in the beautiful Tanote bay (20’ walk from the Lodge). Also the room, the pool and the restaurant / cocktail bar were really great: we decided to spent both nights at the Lodge since everything was so comfortable and the food so good :) a huge thank you to everybody managing this place, you are really doing and excellent work! I hope to be back one day!

We spent 7 nights at Ecotao and left today very sad to leave our little piece of paradise. On day one we arrived after a pretty exhausting and hot trip on the ferry. But once we arrived at the resort we were met by the manager, Nat who welcomed us with a beautiful smile, cool drink and we knew we were where we needed to be. Nat made the check in process easy and personally ushered us to our room. We were given so many ideas of where to visit, what to eat, what to look out for and and and. Every morning we had a delicious fresh breakfast prepared for us, going to miss those banana pancakes! The staff at the resort were so diligent, attentive, friendly, humble and authentic. I would love to name each but sadly we didn’t get everyone’s name. Khola and Wei that worked behind the bar made us the best Lattes in the morning and delicious cocktails during the day. Both young men were such a treat to get to know. Elaine was the manager that tag teamed with Nat and was so lovely. Giving us great diving and snorkelling tips! The resort is well located, far enough from the chaos of Mae Haad and Sairee beach but close enough to jump on a 3 min scooter ride to the restaurants and shops. Our room was clean, had the amenities we needed but best of all had the most amazing view. The atmosphere at the resort is calm, relaxing and truly makes you feel like you have left your cares behind. Thank you to the beautiful team at Ecotao for making our week on Koh Tao just superb!

“Nottingham compares to this place!”

The Lodge is locted at a beautiful place with wonderful views. Staff and management are super friendly and give support wherever they can. Very calm and 100% privacy with a beautiful pool. We spent three weeks in Thailand and visited many high quality lodges. However, Eco Tao Lodge (especially Lodge no. 10) Was the best one of all of them; even better than Cape Shark Villas, which made it to the second best place we stayed at.

“A romantic and relaxing stay!”

The staff was friendly, and the manager was helpful and understanding. The hotel has a romantic setting because it's a small hotel and everything feels personal. The view from the room and the pool is beautiful. The food was delicious, with plenty of choices. Near the hotel (20 min.) there is a beautiful beach called Tanote Bay. A very beautiful spot for snorkeling!

“Fabulous stay away from the hustle and bustle with amazing pool and stunning views”

The infinity pool is fabulous overlooking the coconut trees and beautiful bay. Rooms are charming, minimal and rustic. Lovely bathroom with hot shower and gorgeous views. Freshly ground coffee and filters in the room were a nice touch! The breakfast is excellent - all you can eat! I’d recommend the banana pancakes! Restaurant food is super- we tried a variety of dishes which were exceptional. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We loved the quiet location - We hired motorbikes to get in and out of town - necessary If you want to explore the island.
