“One of the best stays during our travels”

Our stay at Nak's was a great experience! The location is stunning, the food was great and very reasonably priced (we tried something different everyday and were never disappointed) but most of all we have to mention Nak's and his family's outstanding hospitality. He was extremely helpful with planning and arranging our way to the island and back to the mainland by boat and TukTuk. He arranged a late boat back to the mainland because we had a sleeper bus later that day and we could stay in our room until we left at 3pm. We could also ask him everything about his life, business and everything we wanted to know about life and culture in Cambodia. Please book with him and support him and his family, you won't be disappointed!

What a great location. Nak is such a warm and wonderful host. We also had great company. Basic but spacious bungalows with the added option of sleeping outside on the verandah. Good vegetarian food. We really loved staying at Nak’s and will remember our time here fondly. We hope to return someday. It’s perhaps not for everyone, but if you can handle cold showers and limited electricity you will love it

“Peaceful”

Beautiful location, very quiet and private. We stayed in the large bungalow and chose to sleep under the stars, which was beautiful and comfortable. Nak and his family were wonderful hosts. Nak was very helpful with getting there from Sihanoukville and moving on to Kampot afterwards - very communicative.

“Best place on the island!”

The host and his family are very welcoming. The bungalow is basic, but big and has everything you need. Special points for the outdoor mattress with mosquito net, which made evenings very cosy on the terrace without worrying about insects. Beautiful beach and sunset with many different places to sit and read a book. You can for sure enjoy your me-time here.

Great! For those of us who are not afraid of the fact that there is no running water in the bathroom, who can wash ourselves with water from the barrel that is available here. For those of us who are not surprised that there are ants, the occasional spider, small geckos, and other animals. For those of us who do not mind that electricity is only available for three hours a day and WiFi is completely absent. This island simply reminds us of the times when we started traveling to Asia twenty-five years ago. And it is one of the last small paradises that has not yet been invaded by mass tourism. All of this is crowned with great cuisine and the kind approach of the entire family that takes care of this wonderful place. Thank you for everything, we will definitely be back 😀🌺.

“Arriving in paradise”

My stay felt like arriving on an uninhabited paradise island, with only the silence of nature. Nak, his girlfriend, and their son are perfect hosts who made my stay an unforgettable experience.

“A Robinson Crusoe stay !”

We loved every moment in Koh ta Kiev ! Le beach is gorgeous, Nak is the nicest host you can have, his girlfriend cooks fantastically! (We tried 2 other places but it wasn’t great …)The place is very basic but if you’re looking for peace and beauty, you’ll love it. We added a day to our booking … didn’t want to leave ! Thanks Nak !

“A unique experience alongside jawdropping views”

The owner of the location is a great guy, who speaks perfect English, and it's always a joy to hang out with him and shoot the breeze. The views are absolutely stunning, with plenty of different spaces to sit on and enjoy the sunset. It's exceptionally quiet, with very few people. The owner's girlfriend is an excellent cook. When I was there, surprisingly, there were close to no mosquitoes -- a welcome relief!

“Nak’s Shack is a great place to relax and Nak is a wonderful host.”

This was the perfect place to relax for a couple of days. The accomodation is very simple, so be prepared for that. Nak is a wonderful host and obviously loves the island and hosting his guests. His partner cooks all the meals and everything I had was very good. The island is a very short boat trip from the mainland and Nak sent me directions on how to get to the pick-up shortly after I booked my stay. He also arranged for my trip back to Sihanoukville. The accomodation is basic so here’s a list of things to think about: - the only power comes from a generator which runs from 6-9 pm, so bring a power bank for your phone and a torch for the night - there’s no wifi but I had a good connection with my phone - don’t forget the mosquito repellent and a cream for insect bites Overall I enjoyed my stay at Nak’s Shack and can recommend it.

Dream place in nature. Very basic. Not many amenities. If you are nature fan like we are and you want to see bioluminescence plankton swimming in the night this is the place for you. Very good local food.

Aaaamazing place, great service, easy to get to and back to mainland. The outdoor beds are so cozy. The beach at the area of the accommodation is clean. So peaceful as there is only 5 bungalows. We saw glowing plankton thanks to the manager giving us a tip!

Brilliant place - truly remote and disconnected from the world. Beautiful beach, that's almost private with only 4 bungalows and the occasional day trippers. Nak our host was amazing; so helpful and accomodating. We spent 3 days swimming, relaxing, sunbathing, eating great food and wading into the sea at night to see the bioluminescent plankton. One of the best beach stays I've ever had.

We loved Nak's happy, friendly and forthcoming personality. Nothing was a problem! There was no aircon, it is a shack after all! So very muggy at night and mosquito net (supplied) was an absolute must.

“Relaxing escape from life”

“A pleasure to be a part of Nak’s family for a few days in a quiet, remote paradise”

Fantastic location on an almost private beach, some day trippers in the afternoon but just guests about in the mornings and evenings. Nak was a very helpful host throughout and also booked our next ferry for us whilst on the island. Amazing to see the plankton at night, other hostels on the island charge a fee but at Nak’s it’s on your doorstep.

Very quiet place, relaxing atmosphere, calm sea, nak is wonderful host, he speaks so good English so you can really have a nice talk with him..his partner Nan is very sweet and cooks very well,. Bungalows are simple, anyway you don't need something more than simplicity here...bonus is there are 2 beds, both with mosquito net, one is outside area so you are really sleeping under the stars, 💓💓 so unique and so wonderful, i wish Nak the best!! Thank you very much!!🙏☺️🌼🐒💘

“Siimple and peaceful”

Such a special island! Nak is always making sure you are having a pleasent stay. He organised my pick up from mainland and  my return to Sikhanukville. Their Khamer food was really tasty! You can walk on forest tracks to have western food in other spots on the island (there is no roads, which is amaaazing!) You have a proper toilet that flushes well (refill the tank with a bucket) and good quality toilet paper. Matresses are comfortable and the beach close to the bungalows is kept clean. Take snorkelling gear, repellent, do not keep food in your bungalow, and enjoy living simple and peacefully; its only 4 bungalows so its really quiet!
