“Paradise plus”

Kactus is a unique place. As close as you will get to staying on a desserted island if you were lucky enough to get washed up with some great yoga teachers, chefs and someone who can make literally anything out of bamboo. We had a hut with sea view which was surrounded by jungle with a view of the sea through the trees. We loved this as we were totally not overlooked by anyone and yet a minutes walk from the bar, yoga studios, restaurant and all the many other things on offer. Day 1 we did nothing but eat, drink and take in the view from the terrace and white sand beach. Day 2 - I was in the mood for some of the 40 or so activities available- but no pressure to do anything- it’s incredibly chill. Breathwork and meditation with Gio at 7am was sublime. Time for a coffee before a really excellent yoga class ( sorry forget her name) but she was a fantastic instructor who made every level feel included- there were pros and not so pros in our class. Lots of other sessions available - including something with a stick that looked very zen but I was chill enough by then. Don’t understand the issues of some reviews on the price of food. Really reasonable I thought. I wouldn’t personally bring snacks, as you are totally open to the jungle and it will attract little critters to your room. Something definitely got to a carton of milk we had brought. Either the sandflies were in holiday or the recommended coconut oil Em suggested worked a treat. Obviously a few missies but take the usual precautions. We loved the wildlife, you really are living alongside nature

Fell in love with everything about Kactus! What a place to have been privileged enough to reach. The moment you arrive you realise it’s magic and vibe, what a wonderful sanctuary this is. Well thought out, sustainable, considerate and beautiful place this is. You arrive by boat (be prepared to walk through water waist deep - with your bags) reach this perfect hideout on its own quiet corner of Ko ta Kiev. They have everything to offer, great healthy food, hammocks, workshops, yoga, sauna, ice bath, music room the list goes on! Plankton swimming and many other pieces of magic! It’s a real community they have built and such a wonderful place to spend days relaxing. Cannot wait to go back and 150% recommend booking this place if you’re thinking about it! We had an amazing beachfront bungalow that dreams are made of! Many options available

The coreteam is doing it's job very proffessional, they absolutly know, what they doing. They organise many voluntiers there. Location looks like paradise and the beach is nice and clean and has some chairs. The food was good, with nice fresh ingredients.

Perfect place for an island retreat, the staff were all so nice and the place itself has everything you need. The different classes you can take are interesting. The food was also delicious.

Oasis of peace for hippies in the jungle. Our room facing the seaside was really beautiful and open, all in bamboo and white cotton curtains. We had animals (rats and birds) disturbing in the night. We really liked the sense of peace and community although we were looking for peace in nature and found a Hippie tourist village for Westerners. Still an experience that we don't regret. Food was great with local options

Kactus is one of the Most beautiful places on Earth, a gem. you feel Like spending a few days in paradise, surrounded by nature And wonderful people. Food is very good, the activity program is a Great plus to Flow through the day. Couldn‘t ask for more.

Beautiful beach huts, amazing view from the balcony, such a nice place to sit and enjoy! Lovely food, tasty snacks (especially the brownies 😋) and fresh smoothies! Lots of opportunities to do yoga classes, pilates, tarot etc. Many friendly dogs too.

Simple quiet clean basic lovely staff community vibe

Want to give more than 10. This is one of the best places I've been to. We extended immediately and where very sad when we had to leave. Please try this place, the staff and volunteers are the kindest people I've met. I promise you won't be disappointed!!!

“Heeaven on earth”

Not enough words in the english language for this one - absolute paradise. Cannot sing their praises highly enough, in fact I flew to Cambodia purely because I wanted a jungle/island/beach vibe and this delivered in spades. The whole team are phenomenal and it feels like one big community. The vibes are soooooo high. And don't even get me started on the food - holy mother its good. Do yourself a favour and stay here.

What a serene, wholesome and spiritually enriched place. It has everything you need for a spiritual getaway to recharge your energy. The staff are fantastic, very helpful and friendly, feels like a family full of big hearts. An array of things to do. Inc and not limited too: the art room, meditation walk, board games, pool table, table tennis and a music room. I got to try playing the hand pan which is something I always wanted to do. I stayed in the sea view mixed dorm. View is amazing, beach is beautiful and very empty. Beds in the dorm aren't super comfortable, but you get what you pay for and the view is worth it. This is really a bare basics place, with VERY limited WiFi and even limited electricy. This doesn't bother me. But it is worth noting, as long as you can cope without those 2 things at times, then this island experience will be worth it. I think Kactus is a wonderful place and I hope to visit again one day, thanks Kactus team for a great experience, one big love 🤍

“Lovely secluded beach retreat”

A beautiful place with a clean beach and lovely huts and dorms. Nice food and a great bar and restaurant area right next to the beach great to watch the sunset . The sea is amazing and great to swim .
