My family spent a great time at The Beach Residence mostly thanks to Phillip, the host of this amazing place. His hospitality made this stay really special. His restaurants recommendations where real hits, recommend strongly to follow them. The apartment itself was very spacious, I must mention great, comfy beds, where I slept like a baby. I loved the concept of the open space in the saloon, wherw you can roll the windows to the side and have huge space in front of you. The view was also great, although at the level 1 little limited by the green garden isolating you from the street. Location itself amazingly quiet. Nice pool with refreshing water, not cold, just refreshing. Talking about location, this is the best feature as it takes like 3 miutes maybe to get to beautiful beach with great bars and massages. To sum up one of the best holidays we had in Thailand.

Beautiful apartment in a fantastic location! The view is breathtaking, and the host, Phil, was incredibly helpful and friendly! Ideal for those who want to enjoy absolute peace and quiet near their apartment, without the hustle and bustle of the city centers. By scooter or car, you're just 5 minutes from shops and local restaurants, and if you really want to go to the city center, it's only 13 minutes away. We would definitely rent it again if we ever return to Koh Samui.

It is a beautiful property, looks exactly like the photos suggest! The rooms have aircon which was a blessing! The property also has its own pool. You get all the creature comforts - including your own beach towels and dressing gowns. Really great location - an easy 5 minute walk to an amazing beach. Phil (the owner) was extremely accommodating - he let us check in early and check out late without extra charge AND on short notice! He also sent us recommendations of what to do in the local area. The Beach Residence was excellent value for money and we had an awesome stay.

“Ideal apartment for a relaxing stay”

Great views across the bay, lovely pool area and spacious apartment. The walk to/from the beach was steep but only took 5 minutes to reach the quiet beach on Tongsam Bay, with plenty of tree shade and a beach restaurant. A car is useful to get around, especially for dinners out. We did some day trips with companies based in Bangrak - we went snorkelling to Ko Tao with The Dive Company and to Ang Thong with 100 Degrees East. Would recommend both - much smaller boats than other companies and worth paying more to get 5x fewer people on the boat!

Perfect view from the apartment. Host (Phil) was very hospitable and arranged everything we asked. Rooms were clean with nice conditioning, kitchen was well equipped, we prepared food there. Not far to the beach. Nice pool with perfect view.

“The Beach Residence. Wow!”

What's there to say about the Beach Residence that has not already been said in previous reviews. Its amazing. I will break it down into three parts: The location - An idyllic hillside location with the most amazing views, it's a leisurely 3 minute stroll down to a beautiful beach which is tranquil and never crowded, there is a nice little beach bar down there that does great food. It is an amazing location to be at, one of the more exclusive areas on the Island, yet you are only a short drive / taxi ride from some of the best bars and restaurants Koh Samui has to offer. The property - Wow!....immaculate, modern, stylish, a fantastic infinity pool overlooking the sea. The place is simply stunning with the best views you will find anywhere. You could not ask for more. The host / owner - Philip was there to welcome us when we arrived, he provided us with all the local information, recommendations for restaurants, bars, tours etc. He could not have been more helpful. There was one time we had an issue that was out of his control, we messaged him and he was there 15 minutes later to sort it out, nothing was too much trouble for him. The guy is a real gem and will go out of his way to ensure you have the best time My only regret is that we did not spend more time there, but we will definitely return

“5 STAR STAY! Beautiful modern apartment, Stunning location and exceptional host.”

Just WOW. Our villa overlooked the sea, and the beautiful Thongson Bay. Phil, our host, greeted us even though we didn't arrive until late into the evening as our flight had been delayed. Phil was so welcoming and showed us around the property and up to our villa. We even received a very helpful list of places to go and restaurants to visit, from lunch venues, to cheap but very good restaurants, as well as a couple of places to go for a special evening out (more expensive but still very reasonable and top notch food). We hired a car which enabled us to travel around the island and explore the many different villages and areas of Koh Samui. However, if you just wanted to have a restful poolside/beach holiday, you have that on your doorstep too including s few local restaurants which are easy to walk to. Phil organised a taxi for our arrival (highly recommended) with his driver to collect us from the airport. The taxi was there when we arrived (not taken for granted as on arrival in Bali the year before we waited over an hour for someone to turn up so we were very grateful after a long flight!). The driver even dropped us at the local shop on the way to the villa so that we could get some essential water and food for the coming days, which was so thoughtful. Phil is excellent at communicating when needing to throughout the stay, without being intrusive. He even bought us some local bakery pastries a few days into our trip. Its the little human and thoughtful touches that make this place special. A truly magnificently located apartment and a 5 star host. We would thoroughly recommend. **Note for those with mobility issues: The very special location of this villa, being on the side of a hill means that there are quite a few steps if you are staying at one of the villas at the top with the best views. However there is a villa on the lower level with only a few steps which would be more accessible for those that may struggle with steps.

Location was excellent with a beautiful view. Good access to a very good and quiet beach. However you do need to hire transport to get to the nearest town where there are multiple good eating locations. Also to visit the sites and beaches round the island. Philip the manager/host was very responsive with information for sites and eating recommendations and was very helpful to first time visitors to Koi Samui.
