“Very nice but ants”

Nice they clean room every day form my dirt. Except it took them 8 hours to clean room and ants were in my make up bag. Lots of ants in the room.

“Great bungalow to spend the night in and discover the island during the day”

One of the best bungalows we stayed on our Thailand Trip. Very spacious, modern bungalow with nice Double bed and big bathroom. Good place if you only need a nice room and discover the island by yourself on a scooter. The staff at checkin and cleaning staff was super nice and friendly.

“Peacful location in tropical garden, 20 minute walk from Lamai centre.”

Loved the location as we could hear tropical bird song day and night! We did have a scooter, otherwise it’s maybe a 20 minute walk to Lamai, coming back a taxi would be recommended as the road is dark. The beach is at the bottom of the garden and we used the facilities from another hotel on the small beach, which is a nice quiet spot. Rooms are very big with lovely bathroom. AC woked well and tea/coffee making facilities in room with fridge we found to be adaquate as there is so much choice to eat in Lamai.

Nice location if you want a quiet place free from bars and party zones. Close to the beach

Nothing to like this resort after encountering bad experience of no water.

“Basic”

The rooms were a good size with a kettle, a hairdryer, and a basic bathroom. Very nice pool but unfortunately dilapidated sunloungers x 3. There is nothing within the grounds itself. That was not an issue. When the tide is out you can walk along the beach to eat and drink at other places. There were plenty of bars and restaurants a 15-minute walk the other way. For the costs involved, there were no complaints

This place was a last minute booking as a lot of places on Samui were sold out. The villa was great and spacious. About a 30sec walk down to the beach. It was a very small beach but has a view of Lamai which you could walk to in about 30 mins. A scooter is a good idea to lead into Lamai to enjoy all the restaurants shops. You can also walk along the road. Tonggad is a good location to be close enough to Lamai to enjoy the beach and shops and tucked away enough to have a nice quiet morning/evening.

We booked a room with a sea view in Samui Tonggad...basically it was In front of a swamp with a lot of frogs, and from the sea/ beach you have to cross one street to reach this room. We couldn't sleep during the night because of frog . We had some friends in the same time, even if their house was with sea view, they received a house with same swamp view. so, the description on booking site is wrong. Even if Tonggad is a complex, we didn't have any chance to eat a breakfast or coffee there...you have to walk or take the car to take a breakfast. The room doesn't have any mosquito nets, so was difficult to to open the windows.

The host is amazing and looks after you so much. Amazing!! The view from are room was an almost a forest, which you could sit on your outside table and admire. The room was very clean and cleaned everyday and the bathroom was huge.

“Perfect stay in a one bedroom house with private bathroom.”

Really cool stay. We booked at the last minute after a problem with our Airbnb, and managed to get 3 one-bedroom houses in a resort which seems to be under renovation. Every house is fully separated, so no noise disturbance. Super clean, with AC, fridge, and private bathroom. Staff is super friendly and helpful. There's a nice beach accessible after a 5 minutes walk, and main road is 10 minutes away.

Uncle Rang was the best, and the chef at blue white was a little magician with his wok. Love love love Tonggad resort
