everything! This hotel was great. Clean, spacious rooms with a stunning view. All of the staff were super friendly and the dogs were a bonus too. Food is so tasty especially breakfast! Great amenities and the location is lovely and peaceful. If you want to relax this is the perfect place.

“An amazing place to stay”

That was an amazing place to spend time! A piece of paradise in the ocean, really calm, peaceful, private, and wonderful nature all around... ^^ The stuff is really nice and careful! Any question could be solved really fast. I enjoyed the bar and delicious quisine! I lived in a cottage, clean, spacios, with nice shower room and cool personal terrace with hanging egg-chair (fav place to spend time with a glass of wine and fruits in the evening :) That was soooo good, the panoramic view on jungles, the private beach just a few steps further. I liked that i asked for snorkeling equipment, got it for free and enjoyed the views underwater: so beautiful, colorful, many fish, corals and other ocean life right at your yard lol The resort also hv suggestions for variety of excursions, pool tables (for free) and some other things you get informed about when arrive. I really suggest to visit that place. P.S.: I read some previous feedback and what I can notice: - no problem with hot water any time I need it; - no problem with stuff at all, nice English, very helpful and reasonable - no problem with monkeys, saw them once at the beach, haven't heard them at night.

Great free breakfast with our booking. It is a little bit of a walk from the main bulk of restaurants/bars however they do offer a taxi boat service at the resort, if you choose not to use this option expect between a 20-40 minute walk for other restaurants and bars if you opt not to go for the resorts restaurant/bar

“A blissful island stay that left me recharged and grateful!”

If you’re looking for a rugged, natural island getaway rather than a luxury resort, this is the perfect place. The surroundings feel untouched and peaceful, making it incredibly easy to unwind and reconnect. The staff were amazing—attentive, warm, and impressively knowledgeable about the area. They also assisted me with booking my return ferry and organizing my onward tickets. The food was lovely, and having a breakfast of your choice included in the price was a great touch. Beautiful beaches are just a short walk away, and guided tours are available on site for those who want to explore more of the island. Waking up to a sea view from the room and ending each day with unforgettable sunsets made the stay truly special. A wonderful experience overall.

“Worth a stay”

Nice place, rooms are good and clean, great view and quiet location

“Welcome to the Jungle! Bring Some Rations. Be prepared for a long walk to the beach.”

There is some wildlife to look at if you’re lucky. Birds like the hornbill, reptiles like the speckled golden tree snake (harmless – was more scared of us than we were of it), lizards, frogs, fish, even monkeys. The resort has some dogs to help control the monkeys, a cat, and two horses. The gardens are beautiful with statues, and a variety of trees and flowering plants. Some of it is quite wild. It was nice to listen to the pitter-patter of rain through the canopy in the early mornings. There is a tennis court, but it is strewn with leaves and mostly unused. It costs $10 USD per hour to use. There are two pool tables, books, and games in the restaurant/ bar, which are free to use. I had booked a Studio with a Sea View but were upgraded to a Villa. We sacrificed the ocean views for a larger room. The villas had bean bags and hanging basket chairs, which were fun to use. The place does have a certain charm of its own and offers a unique jungle experience instead of the beachfront offered by others. I will go back to Koh Rong Samloem, but I don’t think I will stay there again. The four days that I was there were enough. I’d try one of the other places closer to the beach. But if I had a hippie friend who wanted to get in tune with nature and was more interested in forest than beaches, I would recommend it to them. It was a fun experience.

The two men working at the bar were very friendly and were always in for a chat. Good and extensive breakfast (buffet) Flexible in changes of the booking

“Great stay”

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Laguna. The place is great with beautiful views over the ocean, staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the food at the restaurant is also very good. Breakfast included is fantastic. It’s a short walk to the beach. I would recommend visiting Lazy beach on the other side of the island too.

“Breathtaking views, kind people”

The views from our studio were like something out of a movie, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They guided us throughout our stay, doing everything they could to assist us. The place is literally surrounded by the jungle, giving you a truly intimate nature experience.

Beautiful location, great food and lovely accommodation. I especially enjoyed the swinging chairs on the large balcony area with the views! I had an unfortunate incident and misplaced a document, and the staff went out of their way to help me. I would like to thank you all for being so kind!

“The staff is incredible”

The staff at this resort were absolutely amazing! The manager Indrek went out of his way to make sure we got safely back to Thailand when the land borders were closed. Norman took us on the best trip and took care of us as we made adventures on our own, and Imrek must be providing the best customer service on the island — he even gave us his own soup and bread when we came too late in the night and the kitchen was closed! Katarina is probably the most hardworking maid ever. Overall, we truly felt at home here — nothing is ever a problem.
