Amazing bungalow run by wonderful owner’s & host. if you wanna peaceful experience this your place. especially the beach which was beautiful & quiet. their Spanish food was amazing. Host Sandro was helpful & a friendly person had a great conversation with him. i will miss this place so much & will definitely stay there next time.

Gorgeous beachside bungalows, perfect for our family of three. There has been a lot of thought put into the design. The restaurant and bar are lovely too and provide a relaxing environment to soak up the environment. Staff were really helpful and responsive in all aspects.

Amazing and breathtaking beach with our bungalow right in front. We could just sit and enjoy the sunsets everyday in awe. We also snorkelled right in front of our accommodation with wonderful marine wildlife just there. No wifi which was fantastic as the kids were not really bothered even though they’re teenagers…so that itself was a great revelation. Will definitely be back! Julia and Oscar are the ultimate hosts, thank you

“The most relaxing part of our time on this island! Absolutely gorgeous!”

Absolute paradise! Not easy to get to, but we are so glad we made the effort! We have travelled the world, stayed in some amazing places, but this had the best sunset by far, that we have ever seen! What a fabulous feeling to be sat relaxing on a beach, sand between your toes, small waves in the background, drinks flowing and that sunset as the finale. We stayed in the beach bungalow right on the front and it was just so lovely! Simple, clean, relaxing- this was exactly what we were hoping for and we got it. No air con, but the fan above the bed did the trick and the mosquito net made sure we were bug free for the night. We only wished that we stayed for an extra night or two Snorkelling was good. Lots of fish to nose at but it’s sad to say but our oceans are inundated with rubbish. This is nothing to do with the accommodation as it’s all over Asia, but so important to highlight. We will never get the perfection we want in our oceans unless we all play our part. So many people complain, yet it is only people that do this and that can fix it. Overall I would highly recommend this place if you are staying on this side of the island. It is the nicest along this stretch of beach. And definitely book for a few nights as you will want to make the most of the quiet chill time! I wish we stayed longer!

A magnificent place nestled by the ocean. The western part of the island is much calmer and more tranquil. Internet access is a bit of a problem, but it's a great opportunity to disconnect from the internet. It lives up to its name with a fantastic sunrise. I had read in some reviews that food and drinks were expensive, but the prices are quite reasonable.

Good food and clean ablution facilities. Great location. Pity we were reprimanded for moving a bench so 4 of us could sit together to watch the sun go down.

“Mixed experience with great potential but disappointing service”

We received a warm welcome from Maria, who provided all the necessary information at the beginning, which we really appreciated. The shared showers and toilets were sufficiently clean and provided a good level of privacy. The setting itself also has potential, especially with hammocks in front of the cabins, which create a nice atmosphere (although not always usable during the day due to the sun).

The staff were incredibly welcoming and the location is out of this world. I had a wonderful time here and could not recommend it enough!

What Julia and Oscar have created here is as close to paradise as you will find. Everything thought through. But in a way you don’t notice. The staff were all friendly helpful and involved. The food was on a whole other level. Coming from Barcelona the menu is Spanish. But boy was it delicious. Quite how they create such perfect paella, tapas and bocadillos on this tiny island is a miracle in itself. The whole place is an oasis of calm with beautiful clear waters to make full use of the free snorkels and see all the fishes around the bay. The cocktails as good as any you will find in the world (and a happy hour). We stayed in a bungalow with a beautifully crafted thatched vaulted ceiling and a door opening onto a terrace and the beach. We were instantly made to feel at home and welcome. The vibes rippled through everyone that stayed here. There are paddle boards available at neighbouring resorts and they encourage you to visit the other restaurants on the beach for different menus.

Loved the location. I knew before coming here it would be remote and quiet and that's exactly what I craved. My bungalow was simple, but I think if you know before you come thats not an issue. Food was good, there is also other options on the beach of you want to change it up. It's a bit more expensive on the island but that's to be expected. Bathrooms were ok and clean.

The staff were incredibly kind and friendly and the location is amazing, great for snorkelling and very quiet. The food was incredible- a mix of tapas and western food but there were other places within a 5min walk that served more local food. Cannot recommend enough.

Our 3-night stay at KAMAKU Bungalows - Sunset Beach was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had stepped into a slower, softer world where time simply melts away. We stayed in the white bungalow right on the beach, and waking up to the sound of gentle waves just steps from our bed was pure bliss. Barefoot living quickly became the norm — sandy toes, salty skin, and not a single worry in sight. The relaxed vibes here are truly special. It’s peaceful without being boring, social without being loud — the perfect balance. The staff made the experience even more special. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind. You can really feel that they care about their guests and want you to have the best stay possible. Their warm smiles and easygoing attitude perfectly matched the laid-back island atmosphere. We loved snorkelling right off the beach — the water is so clear and full of life. Paddle boarding on the calm sea was such a fun and peaceful way to explore the bay at our own pace. One of the absolute highlights was night kayaking to see the glowing plankton. Watching the water light up beneath us like tiny stars was surreal — truly one of those unforgettable travel moments. We also joined one sunrise yoga session, which was the perfect way to start the day. Moving and stretching on the beach as the island slowly woke up felt grounding and special. Koh Rong Sanloem is naturally stunning, but staying at KAMAKU made it unforgettable. The simplicity, the barefoot lifestyle, the warm hospitality, and the incredible natural surroundings create the kind of escape that stays with you long after you leave. If you’re looking for relaxed island vibes, beautiful ocean adventures, and genuine hospitality — this is the place. We’re already dreaming about coming back. 🌊✨

Really beautiful beach with golden sand. Jungle behind the bungalows. Lovely friendly young team of staff. Basic accommodation, but it's in paradise!

“An ideal place to reconnect with nature!”

Well located! Incredibly nice staff who supported us from the beginning to end. The facilities and the stay is very nice, they help you relax and enjoy a relaxing holiday. It’s remote and the internet here isn’t the best but that’s the whole point of staying in this place - you reconnect with the nature and the self in a more profound sense than anywhere else. I’d love to be back and hope to do so soon!

The location was stunning and the restaurant was so lovely. We loved the selection of games to use while around and the option to go snorkeling just outside the hotel.

All the food was excellent quality and well presented and delicious- with generous portions . The staff were super friendly and helpful including very good Thai massage . bungalow on beach was very well designed and made and perfect for us. Loved all the hammocks too

We had a great stay at Kamaku, we loved the location being at the corner of the beach meaning almost no people around us and having our bungalow so close to the seaside. Also, not only Julia, the owner, but all staff members were always super nice, kind & helpful and somehow create welcoming atmosphere that you're not feeling as a tourist but part of their community for a couple of days. We tried a lot of dishes as well and everything was great.
