Beautiful rustic accommodation with fantastic hosts. Amazing sea views from the bohemian bar area (that serves killer smoothies!). Lots of cool and tasty cafés and restaurants a short walk away. Wonderful location in an unspoiled corner of an island that is undergoing some chi-chi development elsewhere. I hope M'Pai Bay remains untouched by the modern world! Would love to return one day.

The location was spot on . The two ladies that own & run the guest house were the most beautiful people . The home cooked food was stunning too . We loved the bar and the sea view . Such a lovely little island .

Nice room with Mosquito net Friendlly staff

A beautiful stay at the Dragonfly Guesthouse, the staff were so welcoming and friendly.. it felt like a little home rather than a guesthouse (big shoutout to Toni, who gave us lots of tips for our stay). It’s in a great location, just off the rocks you can go snorkelling and enjoy some lovely drinks in the bar. We would recommend to anyone!

Such a peaceful, lovely, warmhearted and cosy place to stay. Located very close to the main pier. The owners, Tashi and Kirsten, are absolutely amazing - they recommended me the best places to see, what to do on the island and to eat local food. I stayed in a dorm room with a mosquito net and I enjoyed the island atmosphere so much. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

“Wonderful stay”

One of the best places I have ever stayed whilst travelling. Owners Kirstin and Tasha are so welcoming, friendly, kind and generous with their time which really makes this place special. The bar is great place to hang out, and the access to the coral reef snorkelling at the bottom of the garden was amazing. I was given loads of great tips for vegan food on the island as well as super delicious food had at dragonfly. The room was great and mosquito nets appreciated. I would not hesitate to stay here again

I had a beautiful and memorable stay at Dragonfly Guesthouse. My room and the shared bathrooms were very well taken care of and clean. The bar and chill space have breathtaking views which don’t feel real. This was the perfect stay in M’Pai and I can’t reccomend staying here enough. Tash, Kirsten and all the staff were so friendly and able to give me amazing recommendations or a good chat. I’d love to come back!

One of the nicest hostels I have ever stayed in! The owners are so friendly and added me to a local group chat where the local bars and restaurants post what events they have on, perfect for solo travellers! They also gave me a list of local recommendations. And they were very helpful when I was struggling to book a boat to my next destination due to high winds. I had a private room with an ensuite which was really lovely, spacious, clean and comfortable. You can snorkel and see lots of fish straight from the bar area. They have snorkels you can borrow. The hostel bar is fun but not full of wild youngsters. 5 min walk from the pier/main beach/bar and restaurants.

“No hot water_no value for the paid money”

It was supposed to be a place where we spend our holiday. Yet, this is not a client oriented business. We soon realized that we were supposed to know that this accommodation doesn't have hot water (although nowhere in the discription is stated that) and pay for this without asking any questions or having any complaints. When we decided to end our stay, the host made us feel as some fools who expected to have hot water and cannot read properly the booking description and even threatened us that they are going to report us on Booking cause we decided to stay just three nights out of 5 booked. We were accused that did not came to the bar to check in although I came late in the evening and no one mentioned about the check in procedure (especially since we were welcomed by the host who gave us the room key). There is nothing that I liked about this accommodation. No respect. No compassion. They just ruined our vibe and made us leave the island much earlier than we planned.

Clean Bathrooms. Nice view from the bar/lounging area and there are some nice places around to eat. But overall too much of a "poor hippy" vibe for me.

“Perfect place to stay with great hosts on a breathtaking island!”

We loved it all! Make sure to keep in touch with Kirsten and Tasha as you make your way there, good to get guidance of how to get to the guesthouse/which boat to take etc. We went the hard way after not seeing their messages but it was totally worth it! Great location, just a couple minutes from the beach and fifteen from the rock pool (get directions from Tash, made it so easy for us). Food and cocktails at the Dragonfly are to die for. We also loved the little family restaurant just a couple strides down the road, some of the best meals we've had at very affordable prices. The island itself is breathtaking, we couldn't believe we were so lucky to see it with our own eyes. If you're not from the countryside or an island yourself you might find theres not much to do but being island girls ourselves it was a home away from home. So tranquil. A place to relax and reflect and meet lovely locals. There's the option to party also if you wish. Kirsten and Tash made us feel so welcome, comfortable and right at home, so nice to hear stories from someone from Scotland making a life here! We'll definitely be back if we get the chance! Tash and Kirstin are the best hosts, they are so welcoming and lovely. They were also fantastic at helping with the logistics of getting to and from the island. Communication was excellent.

Lovely little Guesthouse with a nice central location which was also peacefull and right in front of the sea. Room was lovely and clean with a comfortable bed and good shower and fan. Owners were lovely as well and made us feel very comfortable.

This is a great little stay in M’Pai Bay. Lots of people flock to the bar/restaurant here for the beautiful sunset but as a guest you can get the good seats early (and enjoy your free welcome drink!) Room was spacious and despite heat still able to keep cool with the large overhead fan. The hosts, Trisha and Kristen, were both really friendly and great to chat to. Also, since our boat back to mainland wasn’t until afternoon, we were allowed to use the showers which meant we had more time to swim/snorkel.

Nice location and they lent us their snorkels for a few hours.
