“Overpriced basic bungalows but nice location on the beach”

The location on the beach is absolutely fabulous, and this is really what you are paying for. The restaurant is very cute and food is good but overpriced. Breakfast is nice but could be more generous. Staff were helpful and even kept my luggage for free for a couple of days while i was on Sunset beach, which was much appreciated!

Location was perfect, that’s about it. Disgusting mouldy pillows, and mattress, very old towels. Photos were obviously long time ago! Dont book this hotel!! Awful, needs updating big time! Only staff who met us off the boat were helpful. Manager didn’t even say hello to us or anyone else!

Absolutely gorgeous location. Clean and simple bamboo hut. Boho vibe with hammocks and private beach area. Don’t expect 5 star hotel but it’s a real gem.

“Best Stay To Experience Wild Animals”

Before I begin to explain my traumatic experience at Bamboo Jam, be prepared that the entire island has no infrastructure, and that the only way to get to the hotel is by tractor. As for my stay at Bamboo Jam, It only lasted one day and at no point during those 24 hours did I feel comfortable. Check in went without any information. I was pointed to the bungalow and that was it. The door of the bungalow is closed with the help of a padlock and there is no possibility to just close the door. It can only be completely locked, either from the outside or the inside. As soon as we entered the bungalow, we noticed that there was a colony of ants that had settled in the walls and sockets, and there were mouse poo and cigarette buds in the nightstand drawers, and the bedsheets had stains. The toilet is something that should have been renovated a long time ago, and the toilet is outside of the bungalow. Anyway, we unpacked our things and arranged them on the shelves, and there were some sweets and coffee that I always carry with me. After that we went to the beach and when we returned, we noticed a strange sound in the bungalow, it resembled a mouse. After a few minutes we saw a rat. We tried to talk to someone at the reception, but it was already 11 pm and there was no one except the security guard who speaks Khmer and to whom I translated the whole problem with the help of Google translate, and he just laughed and wished me a pleasant evening. Viki passed by our bungalow twice that evening and at no time did she ask if we needed help, even though I wrote her a message, to which she replied only in the morning. That evening we slept in front of the bungalow on a hammock, while the rat ate my coffee and sweets and jumped on my clothes. In the morning, I no longer wanted to stay on that island and asked for a refund, to which I received 200 Dollars out of the 550 Euros I paid for this accommodation for five days.

Bamboo Jam has the perfect island/beach vibe. The staff are super friendly and helpful - they organised a boat tour with snorkelling for us which was amazing. The food is mouth-watering - so many vegetarian and vegan options. Good happy hour too. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The place looked like in the pictures, although a little dated when it comes to the colors of the cushions. the bungalows, the doors didn't close and overall the place was a little outdated and not well maintained. The bungalows are right at the beach, and they have a beautiful area to relax on a hammock. They are very colorful and picture-perfect. Some of the staff was really nice and super helpful. The restaurant was beautiful, although probably the most expensive one on that beach.

We had a great 5-day stay here. Cute bungalows right at the beach, nice restaurant and lovely staff - special shoutout to Pac who was really helpful and organized the amazing boat trip, I really recommend it for everyone!

Beachfront... A short distance walk from the pier, with beautiful view from huts. Staff are so friendly and food was lovely. It's a peacefull area, and you can hire paddleboards if you want to burn some energy. We walked to cozy beach and sunset beach (sunset beach is a bit of a trek) but well worth doing, there's also a small waterfall to walk to. There is not really much else to do on this island but relax. And take in the tranquil sounds of the jungle or walk. The sea is like a green colour, didn't manage to see much when snorkeling but saw lots more fish when over at lazy beach. This was a lot less chilled and cleaner that koh rong.

Small cosy and colourful bungalow on a beautiful beach. Very good restaurant with very reasonable prices and a choice of healthy meals. The hotel staff is very nice and welcoming. I highly recommend this beach bungalow with an amazing value for money. Everything's easy and relax !
