Really nice resort, which is bigger than you think if you just walk past the front. There are 19 rooms in total. It's thatched-roof bungalows nested amongst tropical plants and trees. Rooms are all well-maintained (we viewed three options), and they are all a bit unique in layout and style. Food here is good, and the restaurant is open to the public. The free breakfast is also very nice. We will stay here again next time.

Amazing food! Very good breakfast. People working there were very nice. It gave us local and unique feeling, especially private longtail boat ride with elderly man and his grandchild that was booked by resort. We loved atmosphere.

Great location and clean

This property is a true gem on Koh Mook. It is very raw while still offering all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The restaurant serves delicious food, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it the perfect place to relax. The staff are incredibly helpful!

“Blissful island escape with warm touch”

The property is thoughtfully designed. My room has space downstairs to hang out also plenty of room in the balcony. It feels like staying at Thai grandma house in the provincial with so many tropical plants and animals living in harmony. It’s really cozy. Though the beach in front of the hotel is not a swimming beach but the advantage is the peace and quiet and giving sea breeze all day make it perfect to just hang around with delicious drinks from the resort’s restaurant. The best part is probably the hospitality of the owner and staff.

Loved everything about this magical place ! What an island - no cars. Peaceful. And The Tropical ? A stunning little find right by the beach. Absolutely loved our little bungalow, with our hammocks underneath. Didn’t want to leave.

“Best accomadation on Koh Mook”

We first stayed at The Tropical last year during our 3-week trip around Thailand and it was one of our favourite places. We loved it so much that we knew we had to come back again this year. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and really feels like a little tropical oasis. This time we stayed in one of the newer rooms which felt even more luxurious. We love the style and design of the rooms — they’re so thoughtfully done. Breakfast is lovely and the food at the hotel is so good that we chose to eat there during our stay as well. One of the nicest touches was that the staff remembered us from last year, which made our stay feel really special. For us, The Tropical is easily one of the best places to stay on the island.
