“A great place to stay on Koh mook on a budget”

A ten minute walk to most food options and also the pier ( if you take the coast path), good a/c and fridge, with the standard 'firm' bed that is common in Thailand. Free tea and coffee all day, and daily water too! The resort is great for booking tours and taxis, and the lady who manages it is lovely too, really helpful, and lots of communication by either email or WhatsApp! , they also have the cheapest beers on the island that we found too! Also it's about a 35 min walk to sunset beach which is a must do if you visit this island.

“Best value for money on the amazing island of Koh Mook”

Hi there to everyone reading this review, I'm gonna try and keep this short and simple. This place is the absolute best when you are looking for a great accomodation for a very reasonable price. I stayed here for almost a month (March/April 2026) and absolutely loved it. During this time I checked out some of the other accomodations on the island as well but when it comes to value for money, nothing comes close to Smile. The staff is amazing, from a friendly smile (Good morning!) at reception to the cleaning ladies. Also, they provide complementary bottles of water to your room every day + free coffee/thee. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The complex is just outside the center part of the village and I loved it. No noise during the day or night and still only a 5 min walk to most of the restaurants. Tip; best restaurant on the island is actually right next door > Good Luck Restaurant. So unless you want to stay right on the beach, book this one! Cheers!

garbage everywhere, a noisy water pump running nonstop right in front of your terrace, arrogant staff, and then them trying to upsell boat or van tickets at double the normal price. No one wants to deal with that on what should be a relaxing trip.

the cleanest place we have stayed in Thailand. Spotless, comfy beds, good AC, private patio area, FREE coffee, very helpful staff, ability to book excursions and transport through the staff, good location and safe. Would recommend as the place to stay in Koh Mook

I enjoyed my stay at the Smile Resort. First, the stafff is amazing, nice and friendly. The room is ok with big fridge, little desk, furniture to hang out the clothes, efficient AC and confortable bed. The bathroom is top with a good shower. I recommend!

“Comfortable for a short stay”

Comfortable for a short stay. I like the bright light inside the room as I could read by it in the evening. There is a fridge inside the room and some tea/coffee making facilities outside (although only available till 4pm). The lady at the reception arranged 2 tours for me to Koh kradan and the emerald cave. There is a nice restaurant next to the resort where ate most of my meals. I’m glad I took the room with AC as some days were very hot.

Smile has a very generous cancellation policy. The owner is friendly & easygoing despite the fact I walked out & cancelled my booking after arrival.
