Hi, we stayed at the mook lamai last week for 5 days in one of the villas and 1 day in the pool villa (or as the staff said 'the big one'). Its was excellent. It is one of the resorts that is inland but that is no problem as you can easily walk to most places. Also the resort will take you places in their litte 3 wheel taxi. The resort is clean and lovely with interedting fruit trees and plants. You feel there is loads of space. Pool is big and not busy. They have the resturant where you get breakfast on site and the pizza place, the canopy, right across the road. Both were cheap, fresh and friendly. There were 2 staff in particular that were there a lot of the time, Pat and Tid. They were so helpful and genuine. They organised stuff, were chatty. Even showing us round the garden and plants. This was an excellent place to stay. It was a bit more expencive than most others. But it was really worth it. Oh breakfast was to order and was great. Thank you.

“Beautiful”

We have nothing bad to say about this resort! It was our first time on the island and Mook Lamai was the perfect base. The pool-front room was lovely. Even though we aren't big breakfast eaters, we tried it a few times and the pancakes were delicious. The staff also organized a private boat trip to Emerald Cave for us which was the highlight of our stay. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

The staff are super friending, welcoming and take care of you during the stay helping with transfers, tours, laundry etc. The property is clean, comfortable and has a lovely pool. It's a great value stay if you don't mind not being right by the beach.

Everyrhing was perfect. Very friendly and helpful staff, organized a tour to Koh Kradan for us, booked us restaurants. Their driver was very helpful and took us to different places around the island. Amazing villa, very quiet and relaxing with amazing pool with jungle view. Shower under the stars. Customizable breakfast. Sparkling clean.

“Brilliant staff and lovely hotel”

We spent 3 nights in the Private Pool Grand Villa over Christmas and it was quite simply the best place we stayed in the whole of Thailand. The room was very modern with lots of space to relax and unwind. Our pool area was such a treat and felt like a real jungle escape - we even got visited by a family of about 10 monkeys on Christmas day and watched them playing for hours. The staff really made the whole trip for us though - always friendly and couldn't do enough for us. A highlight of our stay was a private trip to the Emerald Cove that they arranged for us including advising on the best time to go with the tides/crowds - we practically had it to ourselves and swam out of the caves with a heron diving for fish right next to us. The trip even ended up including a full tour of the island from our friendly boatman. The free tuktuk service was such a treat and made getting around the island so much easier. Other highlights from our stay include the local wildlife (macacques, water monitors and stork-billed kingfishers), the breakfast pancakes and the Christmas Ferrero Rochers. The hotel restaurant is great, the breakfast pancakes with fresh fruit are brilliant. You can also order pizzas from across the road to the hotel. Further afield, the Miss island bakehouse is lovely - try the blueberry and cream cheese bun!
