“Great Resort!!”

I stayd almost 3 weeks there. Best food on the island. In the kitchen there are 2 women of Burma,they cook so good!!! You can order food the whole day! I love it, that the bungalows are not directly on the beach, so there are no sandflies. I has a very new bungalow in the second row of the ocean. Very clean and modern. New towels every week. Shampoo and soap in the bathroom. I loved it there!! Hallo to the owner "Kay". I come back!

Totally off grid. Lovely to switch off. Food was gorgeous

Loved the peace and tranquility, the staff were just lovely. As a solo traveller they made me feel very welcome.

KohChangResort is a throw back in time. The whole island is like stepping away from the wired world. The resort has great kitchen and massage service available and the cabins are above the surf at high but calm tides with each a private balcony with shade, a double bed and bathroom… it’s complete and perfect for switching off and relaxing. Fabulous stay had! Will be back. (No cars and very few families or children on the island.)

If you get a beach bungalow the vies are amazing.

Beautiful area, close to the beaches, cool shadow during the day time with nice breeze. Amazing owner and personnel at the restaurant! Also it is possible to rent a bike there.

“Nice Bungalow Overlooking Ocean”

I reserved a waterfront bungalow but was upgraded to beachfront. Bungalows were far enough apart that I was not annoyed by other guests and could enjoy the balcony overlooking the ocean. Bed was more comfortable than most in the country. Toilet paper and soap provided. Electricity was on longer than expected from listing. No mosquito net but few mosquitos. Snacks and filtered water were available for purchase. Uncrowded long beach close by. The host arranged my transport to the hotel and booked speedboat and taxi for when I left. I stayed 7 nights. I preferred this hotel to the other one on the island where I stayed that had a small beach area and many very loud tourists so that I could rarely enjoy my hammock or being on the beach.

Bug restaurant/resting area. Rooms vary, but our pricey room was spavoous, had a lovely balcony with sun beds, and cold water shower. It is all basic but perfect for a stay. Many people stay for months there.

“Do not stay here!”

The location is excellent, next to a good beach that’s suitable for swimming a couple of hours either side of high tide.

Unfortunately, I wasn't welcomed here as warmly as I know from Thailand. I was taken to the bungalow without comment and the woman also left me without comment. I went back to ask for the WiFi password. Then I was told that there was no WiFi. I explained that it says on Booking.com that it is included. Then I got the password?! Unfortunately it only worked in the lobby. The rooms were dirty. I asked if they could organize a boat for me to Koh Phayam the next day (asked before midday at 12pm). I was just put off until the later evening that they hadn't gotten an answer?! I think they wanted to force me to stay. So I contacted my new accommodation, which luckily helped me (Speedboat at 11.30 at Koh Chang Pier). Since it's low season, everything was closed (bar, restaurant) and they didn't have any food in the hotel (only cold beer and water from a canister, I got that water for free). But I was kindly driven to a place where I could eat. Yes, it wasn't such a nice experience.

Relaxed and authentic place for meeting lots of nice people! At the beach! Easy to walk everywhere. The owner (a woman) is a little rough but cool!

Great value for money with clean, comfy rooms. The food is surprisingly delicious, and the self-service drink station is a convenient perk. Plus, the prime location makes exploring the island a breeze. Highly recommend!
