Beautiful hotel with an amazing garden, tasteful interior design, extremely helpful and kind staff - truly luxurious. Very good food as well, and a perfect view of Mt. Fuji.

This hotel was amazing and the staff exceeded our expectations! They were so lovely and patient with us, happy to make conversation and help with recommendations along with sharing pamphlets for food and attractions nearby! They even complimented my japanese even though I only know a little. We enjoyed changing and wearing Yukata around the Hotel. The Garden and Koi pond was beautiful and our room blew us away. It was almost the same size as our entire house! Highly recommend staying here and we would happily come back in the future!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted in front of the hotel, shown where to park, and our baggage was brought inside and up to our room. Even before stepping into our room, we felt humbled by the absolutely polite, welcoming, and attentive service. Our room had a view of Mt. Fuji—though it was only visible on the first and last days, it was breathtaking. The garden is unbelievably beautiful, and the entire experience was peaceful and relaxing. We felt completely at home and will definitely return. This place is an absolute gem. The only small thing—I wasn’t able to find out which green tea they serve at breakfast, which was so good! ぜんぶほんとうにすばらしかったです！サービスもりょうりもこころがこもっていました。

I had the chance to stay at Tokiwa Hotel in Kofu, and it was an absolutely perfect experience from start to finish. First of all, the spotless cleanliness and the spaciousness of the rooms immediately impressed me. From mine, I had the chance of admiring the majestic Mount Fuji, a breathtaking view that made the stay truly special. The service provided by the staff, both day and night, was simply outstanding, I have only experienced that in Palaces. Always present, smiling, and attentive, they anticipate every need with efficiency and kindness. Their warmth and genuine joy create a unique and welcoming atmosphere. The facilities are also of the highest standard: the men’s and women’s onsen are immaculate and deeply relaxing, while the hotel’s amenities reflect great attention to detail. The Japanese breakfast was an absolute delight, refined, generous, and the perfect way to start the day. On top of that, the restaurant recommendations given by the team were excellent. In short, everything was simply perfect. My stay at Tokiwa will remain unforgettable. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel without hesitation.

The check-in was smooth. The staff was very friendly. The ryokan is top 100 Japan best ryokans. The onsen was very good! a bit hot during the summer but is definitely worth visiting.

The property is absolutely spectacular, much better than the photos. Rooms are newly remodeled and extremely comfortable. We had a view of Mount Fuji which was so special. You must eat in the restaurant, food was authentic Japanese.

Everything was excellent, from the complementary glass of wine and tea, to the breakfast and especially the warmth and hospitality of the staff. A big thanks to Chihiro to be always there for us, with her special attentive detailed touch.

We had a very(!) big Japanese style room. Absolutely special to experience this. The room was very clean, which is particularly remarkable because of its old style. Dinner and breakfast were both top-level.
