The room was simple but comfortable, and I liked the little extras like the free ice cream. Overall, it felt like good value and an easy, relaxing place to stay.

The worst service ! I have picked this hotel for 2 reasons : the baths and the parking. I checked the website, booking website information, there is no mention about tattoos are not allowed. When I arrived, I got a paper explaining the rules of onsen and I saw that tattoos are not allowed! When I wanted to park in a completely empty carpark for guests only, they asked me what type of car I have and told me that it costs 1 400¥ and if I park in the public parking it is only 1 000¥ because they can validate the ticket. Since they were insisting that I shouldn’t park in the guests only parking, I just left. On evening, coming back after dinner, the 1000¥ parking was full and their guests only parking almost full with berlines. So I parked my car in one of the available spots and informed the reception that their suggested parking was full, the woman at the reception asked again what kind of car I have and she said : our carpark is full and you will have to find another parking. So, I had to deal with it on my own when I parked already in their guests only parking! To finish, at checkout, when I validated the parking with the hotel, weirdly, I had to pay the 1 000¥ to the hotel. How come they don’t validate my ticket and I pay at the carpark? Now my review on the rooms : the name of the hotel is Dormy Inn Kofu Natural Hot Spring Kaiji no Yu Reopening on February 3rd 2025. Reopening means that it might closed for renovation. The bathroom smells cigarette, the shower has pink stain on the floor and there was hair on the toilet cap. So if you come by car, I strongly suggest you avoid this place because they clearly don’t want you to park in their “guests only” parking and it is a bit of headache. If you have tattoos, don’t come because it is just a basic hotel, I guess the nice part must be at the onsen/sento.

I love everything about this place. The location is great. The staff is helpful. I also love its Onsen facilities.

“Pretty good overall”

Staff was friendly enough and respectful. Breakfast was pretty good. The room was big and comfortable enough.

The rooms were cosy and quaint, had all the ammenities you needed. The hot springs/baths was really well setup and clean, with complimentary goods such as razors and yakult for the full experience. Impressed by the bath setup! Staff incredibly nice and easy to communicate as a foreigner with limited Japanese.

Clean room and facilities. Quiet. Nice onsen on the rooftop. It does its job as a place to sleep.

“Value for money, good onsen”

Value for money, the public onsen and sauna is clean and well-maintained. Pyjamas are provided, you can wear them and feel at home within the hotel premises. Many freebies - Free welcome drinks, free noodles at night, and free ice lollies at the onsen floor. We paid for breakfast on our last day, it was hearty and tasty! Automated multi storey carpark was available (as a first come first served basis, but alternative parking also available if full), helpful staff.

I so enjoyed my stay here! The room was stylish and very comfortable, and the public bath was great, with a proper cold bath to enjoy between sessions in the sauna or relaxing at the outdoor bath. Then there were all the freebies - probiotic drinks in the morning, ice cream in the afternoon and evening, and ramen for a late evening snack.
