Overview
This historic 3-star hotel lies in the picturesque village of Kobern-Gondorf along the River Moselle, and offers free Wi-Fi. It is situated 1 km from the train station and a 13-minute train journey from Koblenz. The cosy rooms and apartments in the 400-year-old main building of Hotel Simonis are individually decorated and include a minibar and a flat-screen TV. A romantic timber-framed building across the street houses some of the spacious, renovated suites and rooms offered by the hotel. Look forward to a delicious breakfast buffet each morning, before setting out to explore your surroundings. By cycling, you will discover the beautiful Moselle countryside at your own pace. The restaurant serves traditional Italian and Mediterranean cuisine as well as a fine selection of Italian and local Riesling wines. These can be enjoyed by the cosy fireplace in winter, or outside in the garden in summer.

“Lovely hotel, thanks for a great stay”
This is a lovely hotel with rooms looking out onto the main square of the village. We were there for the Christmas Market which is a one-day-only event in the village (there were also Christmas Markets at Winningen, Koblenz and Cochem which are within easy reach). Our room was large and comfortable, and the hotel was very quiet as there were few people staying there. Breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly and attentive. There is also a restaurant at the hotel, although we didn't eat there as we were out much of the time. We found plenty to occupy ourselves in the village and also visited other places nearby (we went by train and by bus). If you like local Christmas Markets then consider this one, I think we were the only tourists there and there were live music performances for much of the day, lots of lovely stalls and we were made to feel very welcome, it's usually the first Sunday of Advent but best to check online first. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the train station along the river, but there is a taxi firm at the station and another option is to take a bus from Koblenz or Cochem which will stop within a few metres of the hotel.

The Hotel was really beautiful & had a lot of character. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was superb. Kobern-Gondorf is a gem of a characterful village.
