Location was amazing, the forest surroundings had for a very different sort of hotel on the journey. Food was an optional extra but well worth it Staff were brilliant and more than happy to talk with us

Oh my the kobe dinner and breakfast was some of the best meals ive ever had. Property has some stunning views and we were the only guests.

A homestay in a peaceful surrounding, away from the buzz of the city. We loved the home-cooked dinner and traditional Japanese-style breakfast.

Fantastic, friendly service and excellent meals. The beds were also very comfortable.

Good for day trip to Arima Onsen town with Ropeway - The staff are super sweet and friendly - Close to the Cablecar, we didn’t have a car

We are travelling with four kids and we loved this place. The hosts, Yas and Miho were so friendly and accomodating. We loved the home cooked meals, especially the Kobe Beef, and just had a great time in the mountains. Yas took us for a walk to see an amazing view the day we left. We went to Arima Onsen for a day trip and it was a short 5min walk to catch the bus to the Arima cable car. Met some great people who were also staying here as well. Our kids had a great time!

The meals were exceptionally good! The host made many helpful suggestions and even drove us to the farm! The host was very kind and help with our luggage.

We loved the peaceful, cosy atmosphere, the delicious food and the friendliness of our hosts. We enjoyed the warm fire, mountain views/walks, board games and great facilites. It felt like a home and the perfect city break.

The owners were really friendly and made us comfortable. The location was quiet and peaceful. Our room was simple, but was not a problem at all. It was very clean and we slept really good. The common room is really nice! The Kobe beef dinner was delicious! We definitely will come again. Thank you for having us :)!

“A highlight of ou Kansai region”

You can feel that the owner runs the hotel with passion: very nice location (5 min walk to bus and cable station), clean room, delicious food, fine tea, homemade chocolate was amazing, even for the Swiss. :-) Highlight: near the accommodation there is a wonderful viewpoint from which you can see almost all of Kobe. Only locals know the place, including the owner of course.

The Japanese style breakfast was outstanding. The staff were attentive and very obliging, and were willing to engage with my sons in English, and with me in Japanese. We had an excellent experience.

“Perfect japanese 'homestay' with the best food ever!”

We had the best time in this accomodation on Mt Rokko. Arriving by cable car was idyllic and easy to find from Kobe with the owners instructions. We absolutely loved the food! Actually, we would consider just coming back here to eat again. The owner is an amazing chef and cooked different foods for our stay. While my husband loved the Kobe beef, our teenage girls ate all the homecooked bread. My favourite was a delicious salad and grilled marinated japanese radish.. I still dream about them:-). The owners speak great english and was able to direct us well. We enjoyed an outing to Arima Onsen town from here by ropeway. Most likely our favourite stay in Japan!
