Traditional multi-course dinners, hot-spring baths overlooking old forests, and spacious Japanese rooms with nature views await guests at Negiya Ryofukaku. The property is a 3-minute walk from Arima-Onsen Train Station. Massages are available, and free WiFi can be enjoyed at the lobby. Guests stay in rooms with paper screens and exposed wood, and sleep in Japanese-style futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. An LCD TV, an electric kettle and a fridge are provided. Bathrooms are shared, but each room has a private toilet. Negiya Ryofukaku Hotel offers a free shuttle to/from Arima-Onsen Train Station. Shin-Kobe Shinkansen Station and Kobe Sannomiya Train Station are both 20 km away. Free parking is available with an advance reservation. When not enjoying one of the indoor or open-air baths, you can check out the souvenir shop or explore the area’s other hot springs. Luggage can be stored at the 24-hour front desk. If you wish to eat at the property, please make a reservation in advance. If sold out, we may not be able to prepare the meal.

All stuff is dedicated and kind. I am particularly grateful to the cooks who worked around my dietary requirements and made me appreciate the Japanise cusine like I could never before. The onsen are super clean and the opening schedule really thought through.

Staff were so helpful. There is a shuttle bus in and out of town you can use when you need which is very helpful. Onsens were beautiful. View from the room was beautiful. Stayed with a child who loved the onsens. We didn’t do dinner as the sitting was too long with a child but we had breakfast which was lovely.

“Relaxing”
Absolutely amazing. Their slogan is that they want to make you feel wealthy and they definitely did. The library was amazing and relaxing the onsen were beautiful and my skin actually felt better after getting in them. My room was beautiful, I had a view of a bamboo forest and just sitting there with a cup of tea and looking out of the window was so relaxing. If you want to relax in a beautiful environment and feel cared for I would definitely choose this onsen. They even had a bus that would pick me up from the bus stop in arima onsen. I cannot stress enough how much I loved the library there were not that many English books in there, but the ones that were English were lovely. And the tea provided was also delicious.

Absolutely stunning experience from beginning to end. Beautiful serene atmosphere, delicious food and relaxing onsens. Tried both public and private baths and they were both incredibly relaxing. The staff took incredible care of my family.

“Nice but overpriced”
The staff were very friendly and spoke English to us which we appreciated very much. The location was great, we walked from the station in less than 5 minutes. The onsen in our room was incredibly beautiful and comfortable and we really enjoyed using it, and the bamboo grove behind the room was lovely. There is a room called the Perch which was a nice touch, it is a room with a beautiful view to spend time in, and have some tea or coffee.

“That was something!”
It was incredible! Staff was very professional, room with private hot bath was so good, that I even lost a sense of time. Dinner and breakfast were delicious! I really advice you to stay there for two nights at least.

“My go-to for a quiet and peaceful Ryokan in Arima Onsen”
This was my second time staying at Negiya Ryofukaku. I absolutely love it there. It is only a short walk away from the heart of Arima Onsen. A chauffeur will pick you up at the station. The Ryokan in itself is very authentic, smells nice, and the atmosphere there is super quiet and relaxing. You are greeted by a cup of tea and some sweets. The staff is very kind and will show you around. This time I got the nicer western style room with a private bath, it was a slash but well worth it. The half board dinner and breakfast is always fantastic. I even asked for a massage service, where they were able to send a masseuse to my room directly at the time I chose. They were very gentle and fun to talk with. I'll come back again.

“Great quiet getaway with nice public and private baths.”
Wonderful location in a quiet side street. The property is not new, but very well maintained. The staff was excellent - helpful, friendly, accomodating. They showed us Europeans what we needed to know for our first Japanese bath. The baths are separate for men and women. They can be used in the morning and afternoon and then until late at night. They are not huge, but very beautiful, thoughtful, and comfortable. The Japanese breakfast was great. Full recommendation, especially for those who prefer it cozy, quiet, and peaceful. The rooms are very spacious and have beautiful details and views. They are also practical with seating and table, storage, a fridge, kettle, safe, etc.

The onsen facilities were incredible, it was exactly the experience I was looking for when I booked this in. The Ryokan and included breakfast checked the boxes for the cultural experience I was after as well.
