“A great hotel with character.”
Super clean. Yukata are provided for use in public onsen and free tickets for each day. The property is at the top of the hill and there are stairs so it would be difficult to take big suitcases up there. Staff are fabulous,

“Good choice to stay in Arima Onsen”
I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Morgenrot. The location is great (Kin no Yu and Gin no Yu onsen are close to the hotel as well as the bus station), the personnel are polite, and all the amenities have been provided. Price/Quality ratio met my expectations. Nice choice for those who want to save some money and have a pleasant stay in Arima Onsen.

The room was very big with pantry but it's a pity there wasn't any cutlery when there's a stove for cooking. The room wasn't cheap so I was expecting proper toiletries instead just packaging. The bonus point was we're allowed to check in at 10:30 and given free entry to 1 public onsen which was just opposite the accommodation.

The bed was soft and the place have the necessities in place(shower, kitchen, oven). It is also right across gin no yu which it give a voucher for.

Liked the prepared onsen basket to take to the onsen. Room was plenty of space. The onsen ticket to an onsen. Was a 15min walk to the good onsen. Beds were confortable. Room was quite and warn.

The room is very clean and spacious. Bed is comfortable. There is a microwave and electric stove and kettle. Hotel provides complimentary onsen coupons to the 2 main onsens

“Fantastic no frill stay with a large room and a free pass to a nearby onsen”
The location and the perfect lodging for the small onsen town. Also it meets my expectations where I wasn't looking for a ryokan but just sufficient for me to stay and relax. Rooms are big for the 3 of us, and we even have 1 free pass to the nearby onsen.

“Laid back and easy.”
The location was great - opposite one of the two onsens and up the hill, so, en route to the cable car to Mt Rokko. The Morgenrot was one of the few establishments that stayed open for dinner.
