Overview
Overlooking the Arima River, Gekkoen Yugetsusanso features natural hot-spring baths from Arima Onsen’s famous springs. Rooms offer forest views and Japanese decor, with tatami (woven-straw) floors and shoji paper screens. The air-conditioned rooms at Arima Onsen Gekkoen Yugetsusanso include traditional futon beds and an attached bathroom. The ryokan is just a 10-minute walk or 5-minute drive from Arima Onsen Train Station. Onsen-ji Temple is a 5-minute walk away. JR Sannomiya Train Station is a 40-minute drive. Three types of reservable private hot-spring baths are available. Take a break from the baths with some lively karaoke, or indulge in a massage or spa treatment. A sauna and gift shop are also available.

“Perfect for a relaxing holiday!”
The hotel is amazing. My favourite onsen was the one with indoor and outdoor bath. There are three onsens, so they were never crowded. The food was great, the best dinner I have had in Japan so far. The staff made our bed during dinner time, so by the time we came back, we could go to sleep. Everything was great, this hotel is the best choice for a relaxing holiday!

“Great first Hot spring experience, would do it again if I am around the area.”
It was a very nice place, I visited it between my rides from Kyoto to Tokio. it was a bit off road but I had a chance to visit Kobe as well. Easy to reach from Shin Kobe. Only wish we booked 2 nights, to have more time to look around, the nature is very good there. I liked both breakfast and dinner. Dinner was the main dish plus buffet. Enjoyed the experience, you could also get a "midnight Ramen" if you still hungry. Now to the hot springs, as it is the main point ion going there. Enjoyed all of them and booked a private one (Wine bath). My favorite ones where the outside ones. Enjoying the fresh air in a warm water. The facilities were clean and tidy. We booked a Japanese style room with Tatami, It was a very enjoyable experience and the room was huge.

“Interesting but can do much better”
The room was brand new and the tatami could still smell like fresh soup. on halfboard, the buffet is fantastic and the sale is very cheap and delicious.

Very cute ryokan hotel that has amazing onsen facilities. We stayed for one night and made use of the private Cave onsen - would highly recommned for couples looking for a romantic way to spend the night!
