All the staff are very kind, reactive and enthusiastic though the facilities are somewhat old.

Set in the hills amidst lush green scenery. The night we were there we managed to see lots of fireflies dancing in the dark which made the property even more magical and the scene looked like one from a Ghibli animation. The service and staff were very attentive and polite, we enjoyed the vast space and wondering around the property.

The dinner and breakfast served in the room were exceptional. There was a good variety of food and it felt that the courses never stop coming. We felt very well served.

This is a beautiful hotel, and the staff were friendly.

A long way out of Kobe but trains were pretty straightforward. Local restaurants not open evenings so you must eat in the hotel which was expensive.

The hot springs are very good. Probably one of the best in the Arima Onsen area. I also like that they have a store within the hotel selling snacks and souvenirs. Being able to use the hot spring fork their sister hotel is also very good.

The onsens were cool. We booked a private one which didn’t have onsen water but was also a cool experience. We had dinner and breakfast included in our booking, the traditional dinner was particularly enjoyable.

Where to begin! Simply wonderful. If you're looking for 'total-relax' time, recharging batteries and exploring the wonderful Arima area, I highly recommend this hotel. Both indoor and outdoor onsens. The facilities all spotlessly clean. And friendly, welcoming, helpful staff. Would highly recommend this hotel.

“A truly Japanese experience”

The room which we booked was very clean and spacious, with more than enough space for opened luggages, futons and our other belongings. The food was amazing, we were served breakfast and dinner in the room by a very sweet room attendant Fumina san! Even though she spoke limited English, she took the time to explained each dish to us. She was very kind and polite and even arranged our shoes at the door before we went out. My mother did not eat raw food and when I requested for no raw food for 1 pax, they kindly accommodated! The hotel was about 6 minutes walk from the main street and very easy to get to. I liked that it was near enough to walk, but far enough away from the noise. There was onsen in the facility and it was not crowded. You can also walk over to the next hotel (their sister hotel) and enjoy the onsen there. I also enjoyed the fact that they provided yutaka (complete with slippers and socks) and pyjamas which was a very nice touch. They even have a hot water flask / iced water jug in the room. This was our first stop in Japan and we really experienced the Japanese hospitality. This hotel gives you the full Japanese experience - onsen, sleeping on futons, Japanese food (sashimi included), interacting with local Japanese.

Room was super spacious and clean. They had a whole range of skincare and facial peels etc which were amazing. They had great indoor and outdoor baths and you can also try their connecting sister hotel’s baths. Their private baths were big but it’s not onsen water, just hot water. Walking distance from the Hankyu bus station. Can call them for pickup but as we didn’t have a local number for calling we walking there ourselves. It’s doable but it’s a little ways uphill so if u have lots or heavy luggages it is better to just call them or u can call a taxi from inside the bus station. It’s also walking distance to the town centre. If u opt for no breakfast and dinner like us, be sure to check out which places open for dinner early on as many places close early (there were only a handful of places open when we were there). Better to just get breakfast/dinner options in the hotel if u don’t want any hassle
