“Good and basic Ryokan experience but slightly over priced.”

Quality and quantity of food was ok. Our room with private bath was very clean. Check-in was fast and they provide free shuttle. Train station was nearby.

Great facilities (in-room and public Onsen), amazing staff who were superb. The food was wonderful (lots of fish dishes which may not suit everyone).

“Great value for money”

Room with private onsen was lovely! Very spacious and lots of supplied bath products, free shuttle from station or info centre and back was really nice as it is steep uphill. They handled our bags for us too, and stored before check in. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and could all speak English well to translate the general rules and check-in info for us. We could only afford to stay one night, but wish we could stay longer!

Fantastic service and food.

Every single thing about this Ryokan was phenomenal. From the very pleasant staff, to the stunning room, the private baths and the incredible five course dinner. I hope I get an opportunity to stay here again in the future.

Delicate and authentic Japanese kaiseki ryori Onsens aren’t big but people are few, so take time and enjoy Shuttle bus to and from major points of transportation

The staff are really helpful and courteous in spite of their limited English. Very nice hotel with a spacious abd cozy lobby. Dinner & breakfast were very good and tasty, enjoyed the authentic local food, very good service too.

A wonderful onsen experience with a relaxing atmosphere and clean, well-maintained facilities. The hot springs were soothing and perfect after a long day. The room was comfortable, and the staff were warm and attentive.

.Everything except the lication as it's licated uphill. If there's no shuttle service it'll be quite a challenge.

The environment and meal are excellent. The onsen facility is great. It’s very nice and relaxing.

Love the free drink and snack lounge. We enjoy making our ice latte and flavoured soda from the machine. We got the corner room. Although it was compact in size, we love the deco and the toilet design The staffs were all very friendly and even offered to send us to the ropeway even after we had checkout.

“Amazing stay with private onsen bath, and decadent traditional food.”

We stayed here for two nights for our honeymoon, and it was such an amazing stay. We booked a room with our own outdoor hotspring, and it was the best decision - we started and ended our days with a soak, which was so relaxing. The room was beautiful and spacious in traditional style, clean and comfortable. We even had a massage chair free to use in our room, which was a nice addition. One of the best parts of the stay was actually the food and service. We had breakfast and dinner twice in our room, served by the lovely staff, and the food was decadent and delicious - easily one of the best meals we've had on our japan trip. Highly recommend, although the price was a bit steep compared to our other hotels - but for all the value, food, onsen, hospitality, it was well worth the price for us.

“Beautiful stay”

The Japanese rooms were beautiful. The staff were exceptionally lovely. The onsens were perfect. The food was amazing! They have a shuttle bus that picks you up from downtown and drives you back to the hotel (bit of an uphill) - not far though.

In room dinner was with good spread and portions. Onsen facilities is decent but don't have a view. Breakfast was serviced like a stylish high tea service. Commentary coffee and carbonate drinks bar. Good lounge downstairs to enjoy. Two elevators. Massage chair in the rooms. Almost all staff speak English, rarity in Japan.
