Incredible people and place.

Incredibly lovely people, the owners were amazing as were all their friends who work with them. Sunny went above and beyond to make our experience great. This was the highlight of our trip to Thailand.

Special little gem. If you're looking for something different, this is it. I was lucky to have a beautiful beach completely to myself. So if you need to take a breather, I would absolutely recommend. And the coffee from the place near by is amazing! Also the feast in the evening prepared by malee? Priceless! (And actually included in the price)

Unique island experience at a charming homestay

Staying at Malee homestay was a very unique experience for me. Going there, it’s good to take it as is and treat as an experience. For those looking for a luxury, paradise-style holiday, it will not be a good fit. It will however be a good fit for anyone who’d like to experience a taste of local life in a more tranquil place, without crowds of tourists. My hut at the homestay was very cute, I loved the bed and the fairy lights on the wall. The homestay had all the amenities for relaxation outside the huts, like hammocks, swings, and nice dining tables. Sunset at the island was beautiful. Location-wise, the homestay is right at the pier, making it easy to travel between Koh Por and Koh Lanta old town. There is also a cafe right next to the homestay. The homestay hosts prepared a lovely dinner for me, which could’ve easily fed a family of 4, with some of the best seafood I’ve had in Thailand! Overall, I’m happy I went there for the night, it definitely enriched my Thailand experience.

Easy to get to, cute village, quite beach and away from tourist crowds. I got to go fishing with the family and came back to possibly the most insanely amazing meal of my whole life prepped and ready for me - honest the the food here is just out of this world Great beach.

A special experience!!

Wow, this was something special!!! Thanks to dear Malee and family for this experience!! Going out fishing for octopus and crabs and then beeing able to eat it in a delicious way- wonderful!! Cosy hut with moskitonett, that was not really necessary, because no moscitos around :-) On the second day there were exactly 3 tourists around. Loved it! Also not having WiFi and not having running water. How relaxing and something different!! Hope to be back!!!

Very simple but a chance to see a local way of life

The room I had was really thoughtfully furnished with some cute touches like fairy lights. It was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was manageable as long as you know what you are getting. No shower but using a tub of water and a scoop was fine for me. There is a mosquito net, essential as the hits allow wildlife in. The electricity worked all the time and I could keep cool at night with the fan. The free transfers from Koh Lanta were great. 2 nights maximum is enough, there isn’t anything much to do, although I did go out in the boat in the morning to watch the crab nets being pulled in. Ja Malee was very kind in taking me to visit the school and organising that. I used google translate to communicate.

Off the beaten track!

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to stay on a remote island just off koh lanta. For those looking to stray off the beaten track this definitely ticks that box. You get picked up at old lanta then get to watch the fishermen catch dinner. Then you are offered authentic seafood and a lovely breakfast as well. You will be staying in a tent to expect to sleep rough but for the experience it's worth it!

Thank you Malee , we already miss you and hope we will come back !❤️

Ok , I’m gonna be very informative . This was clearly our best stay ever . We loved Ko muk , ko lanta was ok .. but this one beats all other islands. Once you’re here , you feel like the whole island is yours where host makes you feel home , you get all you would need . 2-3 days is the minimum you must stay .. and more up to you. There is literally almost no tourist.. for those who want to avoid crowd .. which is great ! You go fishing , kayaking .. and feel the lives of local Cherry on the top , TRANSPORTATION is all organised by the locals included in the price . It’s so easy and cheap to go from or to this island from Ko lanta. very sophisticated breakfast (only place gave us really good breakfast ) proper restaurants grade. Don’t eat anywhere else but with Malee!!! She cooks crazy foods ( a little bit pricer but trust me it worth the size and quality )
