We had the most amazing chalet room right on the beach with a beautiful view. The place is a little dated furniture wise, but the views are what you are there for. Snorkelling here is really good, especially at low tide. The staff here are very nice and polite. The gardens well looked after, the visiting Hornbills just above your head, a real treat too. The food here at this resort is lovely. A very relaxing stay. Would we stay here again? See what we didn't like. We would if it had clean running water.

We had a great stay! The resort is cute and located right next to the beach. The bungalows are basic, but they really have everything necessary to enjoy the beautiful island. Everyone from the staff was super kind and helpful, they were happy to helps us arrange the boat transfer and were always happy to help. Breakfast was really tasty and with decent variety, we also tried the resort restaurant and it was great. All in all I would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again.

The room was very nice. I had a fan room, it was a bit hot, but managable! The common areas, all the different hammocks, It was great to chill.

The property is set on the best part of an idyllic beach. It really is paradise. The staff were helpful and friendly and the onsite restaurant was good with excellent, reasonably priced cocktails.

“Very poor room!”

This review is intended to help the owner improve the property and is closely related to the potential for improvement. The property is centrally located on Koh Ngai and is very beautiful, overlooking the sea. There are some very nice bungalows for two people, but the family bungalows for three or four people are truly poor quality. They are all close to the forest and the presence of mosquitoes is widespread, so all beds would need nets to ensure a good night's sleep, especially since the rooms do not provide wall-mounted mosquito repellent. The air conditioning unit located above the beds blasts a jet directly onto the body, making it difficult to regulate the air flow. Blankets are provided, but although thin, they are too heavy given the scorching temperatures. As a result, you are forced to use the AC at a very low temperature, which affects your physical well-being since, as mentioned above, the air blows directly onto your head. The lighting is very dim throughout the bungalow, and the darkly painted bathroom is extremely dim, making it difficult to see, especially for those who need to use the mirror to change contact lenses or whatever. The shower drain is a hole about 4-5 cm in diameter, uncovered by any netting, which drains directly into the back of the bungalow, where there's overgrown vegetation and a pile of debris, allowing insects and animals to enter. The shower handle leaks, and you can hear a clicking sound at night; the water is often rusty. The sink faucet in the bathroom is full of limescale and distributes water through three jets, spraying outward. The mattress is uncomfortable. Ants are crawling and climbing in the beds. Breakfast is meagre and repetitive, with a poor selection every day. The price is average, so you'd expect more.

“Fabulous location right on the beach with hornbills!”

It’s a beautiful location on a special island. It’s our second visit and we were concerned it wouldn’t be as good but the hotel have made a few improvements (breakfast included for example) Yes the accommodation is a bit basic but it’s clean and perfectly adequate at a very good price right on the beach and away from the day trippers. Koh Ngai remains unspoiled and Kaimuk Thong remains an excellent place to stay to enjoy it. Lots of hornbills in the trees outside too!

“Absolutely amazing island and very welcoming team”

The place, the view and the beach is absolutely stunning. It is paradise! I loved it very, very much. So tranquil. Something you wouldn't expect in Thailand or at all. Everything for additional relaxation is in a walking distance - massages, smoothies. The staff are very welcoming and were helpful with anything we might need. I absolutely loved the vibe there. It isn't a luxurious stay, the bungalows are pretty basic and somewhat a bit old, but very well maintained and clean. But it actually is in balance with that beautiful beach and it's vibe. I saw other fancy resorts and restaurants, and they just look too artificial for the island. You can hear the nature, see very beautiful and exotic birds and the reef is just in front of you - perfect for snorkeling. However, keep an eye on the tide. We were there during full moon and the water movement was unbelievable - many hundreds of meters 4x a day. Therefore in the morning the reef is too deep, but in the evening too shallow, you have to aim for the sweet spot. My best stay in Thailand so far. Try the Kaimuk paradise cocktail!

We were lucky to have the new bungalow right on the beach front. The location was wonderful and the bungalow brand new. We loved that it was separate from the other bungalows and do close to the beach and sea.

Perfect location on the beach with very relaxed vibe. This accommodation is half way up the beach so you can go either way at night for food, highly recommend Koh Ngai Chomview Restaurant best Thai food on the island, turn left when you exit this property. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The breakfast here was very basic, bring your own coffee. We paid approximately €50 per night you get what you pay for so if you are looking for a cheap stay this is ideal.

Beautiful setting with lawn and a fantastic view on the bay. Delicious food morning and evening in their own restaurant. Comfortable sun beds for relaxing and reading. Hornbill birds visiting now and then.

Location on the beach with excellent staff. The food served is delicious with lots of fresh vegetables. Breakfast included and great value for money. Free sunbeds and wifi. On the beach virtually with beautiful grounds and sea views.The staff here are so welcoming, helpful and friendly we would definitely come back and stay again. Thank you for a lovely few days, we wish we could have stayed longer.

Location: best part of the beach Friendliness: all the staff members are incredible helpful and nice Rooms: quiet in a peaceful garden under the palm trees with horn bills flying around. Restaurant: best local food on the island! Tried everything from the menu + best drinks! Overall - best value for money! Highly recommended!

Amazing location!!! Loved chilling in the hammocks! A quiet part of the beach. Basic room but a million% worth it for paradise feel. Fab bar next door and one called light my fire definitely worth the walk up the beach. Had some live music. Very authentic feel! Loved it. We booked last minute so could only get in for 1 night. Moved down to Thanya Beach Resort which is bigger and more “resort” feel! Would chose Kaimuk Thong everytime! And cheaper!!
