“Fantastic Fantasy”

Please note we were changed from this hotel to their sister resort, Fantasy resort so these scores are for Fantasy. We loved everything about our stay at Fantasy, wonderful staff, comfortable beds, delicious food and the house reef was fantastic for snorkeling daily. Will definitely love to go again.

The views from our room and the pool were exceptional, the customer service manager and reception manager were very friendly and helpful We enjoyed every evening meal we had, where each dish was cooked with a considered mix of fresh spices. We appreciated having a variety of places to sit and relax.

Facilities are basic in the room - pool is nice with a good view. Food was nice and they catered well to me being Vegan... also appreciate that you're paying for the island and the beach front so I accepted the basic room in exchange for that

Perfect for us! Friendly staff, clean room, wonderful stay on Koh ngai! Thanks to all the staff who work so hard! Beach shoes are recommended for getting in and out of the sea! And the acoustic music bar next door is super!!

Room a bit spartan but mine had great views. Pool OK but more for children. Great beach. Good buffet breakfast and fixed menu dinner included.(table d'hote available).

“Wonderful experience”

Dinner included forced me to try new and delicious food I would normally avoid. Really liked that part. You can also pay with card for everything at reception. Staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. They have free cold butterfly pea flower tea which was absolutely wicked, thanks! There are many small shops around the island that have everything you might need (cash only). The best chance of seeing Hornbills is at Koh Ngai Seafood restaurant.

“What a dramatic view!!!”

This is an incredibly relaxing place. There is complete peace and quiet throughout the resort — the only sounds you hear are those of nature and animals. The surrounding nature and views are absolutely beautiful and truly spectacular. The staff are wonderful: kind, helpful, and always welcoming. The atmosphere is exceptional — calm, authentic, and very special. Of course, if someone likes to complain, they will always find something: that something might need renovation or that the food could be more varied. For us, however, there was no room for complaints — the beauty of this place filled everything. The entire island is stunning. You can take long walks along the beach and stop at a few beach bars along the way for a drink or a meal. A perfect place for a true reset.

“Lovely location for the adventuress”

Location was great for us because we had so many experiences walking home along the beach on a night back from the beach bars along the bay, experiences we would have never had if we where in a more central location, every night was an adventure and that's why we visited Thailand. The view from the pool is spectacular and their beach front area is great for snorkelling.

“Could be soooo much better...”

The one thing about the place you cannot beat is the pool. The location is spectacular and the views even more so! Surprisingly, it's never really crowded, and there are times you can have it to yourself. The size of the room is decent, the balcony view overwhelming, and the daily cleaning is immaculate. Sadly, this is where the positives end. The storage spaces in the room are insufficient and impractical. To reach the sockets, you need to move furniture around, and they are still very inconvenient to reach. The manual for the boiler in the bathroom is outdated, there is actually no need to do anything to turn it on. The whole place is a little run-down and some of its downfall is probably due to mismanagement of it - very few people seem to be really working there - with the exception of the cleaners, the porter and the receptionists, most others hardly acknowledge your presence, too busy with their mobile phones. This does not project a good image for the hotel. Breakfast, except for the omelettes, is a very poor buffet. Some surfaces and the floor in places are sticky and evidently not cleaned often enough. All in all, it's a place with a great potential and it is a shame that it is being wasted...

The views are absolutely stunning from this hotel, like the name suggests it is on a hill, and has superb views from balconies and especially pool area. If you don’t like steps or walking up hills this probably isn’t for you, but for those that don’t mind it’s well worth it for the views. Great value as well. The place is a little dated in places but that didn’t really bother us for the price. The pool and balcony views make up for it. Our bed was hard but that seems to be popular in Asia and we are getting used to them that way. Breakfast was fine, with beautiful views in the morning. The hotel and rest of the beach AREN’T inaccessible at high tide, like some reviews suggest, there are paths behind the beach, you just can’t walk on the sand the whole way when the tide is high. The hotel has kayaks for rent and very reasonable prices, didn’t enquire about snorkelling stuff but other hotels have gear that you can rent. You can snorkel off the beach.

Fantastic location very near Kohsan road but far enough away to be peaceful !! The perfect place to stay. Great restaurant too. Highly recommended
