Perfect location, very central and close to many restaurants and shops. Free transfer from ferry both ways, nice beachfront. Most of the staff were very friendly. Room and bathroom were spacious. Overall nice stay for value.

Staying at Baan Koh Mak was truly an unforgettable experience. The staff were absolutely amazing — extremely friendly, attentive, and professional. They made sure we had everything we needed, and the overall service quality was far beyond our expectations. One of the best parts of this hotel is that the sea is literally right outside the room. I explored many bays around the island, and honestly, this place has the most beautiful beach on Koh Mak. It’s the perfect combination of nature, peace, and comfort. We are already planning to come back next year — and most likely every year after that. I highly recommend Baan Koh Mak to anyone visiting Koh Mak.

“Lovely hotel in great location”

Lovely room close to a good beach. Short walk from hotel to road of shops and bars. Hotel made gorgeous drinks on the beach, with comfy loungers etc.We loved Koh Mak

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here and can highly recommend this place. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our stay, always keeping everything clean and well maintained — truly outstanding service. The beach was beautiful, and every evening we watched the stars from the swing, which was a truly magical experience. We also rented a kayak and a motorbike directly from the accommodation, which made exploring the area very easy and convenient. The rooms were clean and offered a wonderful, nature-close experience. We would absolutely return to this accommodation and happily recommend it to anyone. They also provided a transfer to the ferry, which was very helpful. Thank you again for the amazing experience!

“Great location”

The location is great, right on a beautiful beach with lots of restaurants and massages nearby. The room size is good and they provide complimentary pick and drop from the pier.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. They always went out of their way to make sure every guest felt comfortable and well taken care of. I spent nearly 50 days there, and not once did I have a single negative thought about the place. Everything felt welcoming, smooth, and genuinely pleasant. I would happily return anytime — it truly felt like a home away from home.

Nothing negative to say. The room was great; comfy bed & big and clean bathroom/shower! The location couldn’t be better; the bungalows are only a few meters from a beautiful (and chill/private) beach. It’s also only a few minutes walk from restaurants, small supermarkets & a nice massage place. And if you rent a scooter (you can do so at the resort), you also get to a few more restaurants & beaches in around 10/15 minutes. The staff was super super kind & helpful. Would definitely recommend.

We loved Baan Koh Mak very much. From the moment Kim picked us up from the ferry until the moment we left he was so helpful and kind (with a beautiful smile that was infectious 😊). We originally booked for 4 nights but extended another 3 nights until they closed for the low season. The accomodation is perfect and exactly as described, really nice design and interiors. Our room was cleaned every second day which was more than enough. As mentioned. we were here heading into the low season so the restaurant wasn’t open but this was not an issue at all - in fact we loved the quiet vibe. A number of great Thai restaurants are within walking distance including a vegan restaurant right next door. The beach is a little rocky but no problems swimming there, we often wondered up a bit further to the right of the beach for great swimming. The grounds are lovely and very well kept by the staff every day. Golf cart & scooter hire available directly through Kim.

The location is perfect.our cottage was close to the beach. It was a comfortable beach themed cottage, with amenities included. We could walk to the beach and relax on the lounge chairs. The restaurant at the resort was also very good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There are restaurants, convenient stores just outside the resort.

Great location with everything you could possibly need just around the corner (lots of authentic thai restaurants, supermarket etc.). Outstandingly friendly staff that was very accommodating and tried to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Bungalows were in great condition and very clean. Would stay there again anytime.

Everything, super cute and beautiful resort. Everything is made with love and they serve the best coffee on the island.

The accommodation was ok. Quite small room. Cleaned every other day . Water in the shower was mostly luke warm. You could have breakfast there, but you had to pay. Plenty of cafe’s on the main street for breakfast and food. Disappointed with the beach, lots of stones, and litter!!!!!! , didn’t enjoy swimming because of that. Staff were quite pleasant, some were not. The price of the stay was good and fair. Lovely island. We hire a golf buggy and was nice driving around at a leisurely pace.

Very nice villas just by the beach. Well kept and very friendly personnel. Free pickup service. Nice street outside with restaurants. The food at the hotel was also very good.
