Everything! It’s like a community home where you can run into very interesting, kind and like-minded people. You are always surrounded by adorable cats as well and being situated in the middle of the jungle, very close to one of the island’s most beautiful beaches (less than 5 minutes by foot) was an incredible plus. Lukai is an incredible host that makes sure you have everything you need and feel comfortable.

First of all, the host is very kind and accommodating, also flexible for each guests needs. Very helpful in anything you need and encouraging and helpful to have the best time in Koh Kood. The property it self is cosy and intimate with the other guests. Almost feels like a social flat, however it’s quiet and everyone was respectable. Location is a star in my opinion. The property is down a bad terrain road, however once you get to the house it all makes up for it. Feels like you are living like a local. There are 3 incredible beaches on the south coast just 5 minutes walk down the road further, with incredible restaurants on the beach options. Beaches are private so also so much less populated. Southside of the island is a great area to stay in Ko kood I think if beaches are a priority. Property has decent gym equipment also which is great

Loved the vibe, the owner was very helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable, house clean and room private. The beach near the house was the best one in Koh kood imo. We wished we booked at least a week here ❤️

“Perfect escape”

I absolutely loved my stay at HyperLu Space. I booked spontaneously and there weren’t many options on the island within my budget, but I definitely ended up with the best one! At first, I wasn’t fully convinced by the photos - the property looked a bit messy, but since I planned to spend most of my time at the beach anyway, I went for it—and it turned out to be a great decision. One of the nicest beaches on the island is just a 5-minute walk away! In reality, the house was super clean and cozy when I arrived. The host even picked me up from the main street, which was really kind—otherwise, it’s about a 20-minute walk from the drop-off point. Right after booking, I received a message with lots of helpful details and tips about the property, the island, and my arrival, which I really appreciated. Transportation on the island is mainly by bike, and you can easily rent one—they’ll even deliver it to your door. The kitchen has everything you need (just remember to keep it clean after yourself 😉), there’s a comfortable bed, and a cozy terrace to relax on. Even though the house was full, it never felt crowded. I was also lucky to meet an amazing international community there—we spent time playing music, singing, and having great conversations. And I have to separately mention the adorable cats! They might even come cuddle up and sleep next to you if you leave the door open 😋

The location and the place is really awesome. Excellent wifi. Its off the main road and you have to take a motorcyle down a dirt road but that is fine, it puts you close to some awesome beaches. The beach is only 10 min walk from the place and the walk is pleasant. There facilities are really nice, the kitchen, and the host Lukas always has great info and advice. You can borrow masks, and snorkels and excercise equipment so its more like staying at friends house than a hotel or even hostel. Highly recommended! The place is the best kept secret in the area!

My stay with Lukai was fantastic. He is a kind and very helpful host, and the value for money is unbeatable. I’ve rarely slept so comfortably — the rooms have memory foam mattresses and pillows. Three beautiful beaches are within walking distance, and the three adorable cats are the cherry on top. The house reminded me a bit of Pippi Longstocking’s “Villa Villekulla.” I would definitely come back!

My stay at HyperLu was one of my favourites so far!The host makes sure to connect the guests by e.g. organizing trips and evenings (game night, BBQ, sunset etc.). If you prefer me-time also no problem. The beds are really comfortable and the location was perfect for me.

I recommend this accommodation. Very nice and quiet place in the middle of beautiful nature, yet very close to great beaches. Very friendly and helpful owner. Truly a unique experience. I only planned one night, but I stayed longer 👍

For me I had a great time here. It reminded me of my student house, location is remote driving there through a sandy road. Once there you are close to a beautiful beach. I had a perfect clean room to do my remote work in. Nice desk, new AC and good double bed. The place is social with many people in the house which is nice if you are looking for this. For privacy and work my room was perfect with good wifi.

What an amazing, magical, cute place, really feels like a home! We had a AC cooled, very cozy room with a double bed for my partner and I, nice art on the walls, great little lightbulbs creating great atmosphere, two windows, one looking straight onto a big bunch of palm trees. The host is super cool, talkative, fun to hang out with and offered us nice fruits for breakfast. Will definitely come back!

“A magical time”

I traveled to Koh Kood alone and without a plan, simply hoping to have a nice week there. By pure chance, I found HyperLu, and I immediately had a great feeling about the vibe. That feeling was confirmed 100%. ​From the very first moment at the guesthouse, it felt like a new family; cool people from all over the world coming and going. I literally made 'new best friends' from day one. Lukas, the owner, is incredibly ambitious about showing his guests the coolest spots on the island—whether it’s hidden waterfalls, secret paths for cliff jumping, or the best places for delicious food. Living there was an exciting experience right from the start. ​Not only is the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen located just 200 meters behind the garden, but the whole place is simply magical. It’s so easy to do things with others because Lukas creates weekly groups to help everyone coordinate and hang out. I had so much fun that my planned one-week stay turned into three weeks full of sun, nature, waterfalls, beaches, and magic. ​I am so grateful that this place exists, and I will definitely be back. Thank you for this wonderful time at HyperLu, and a huge thanks to Lukas for the hospitality and the chance to enjoy a completely new way of life!

I've been traveling for almost two years, but this place hits different. No doubt, it's the most unique experience so far. If you're looking for a spot to try something new and truly outside the box—this is it.

This place has an amazing vibe – you can really feel how much heart the owner put into the artistic decor. The atmosphere is super friendly and welcoming, especially great for solo travelers who want to meet new people. The host really helps everyone connect and even organized a shared BBQ on the last day, which was a great touch. A really memorable experience and a perfect choice if you’re looking for something different than expensive resorts. Plus, the location is excellent, just a few minutes’ walk from one of the best beach on the island.

“A joyful and authentic oasis”

I'm 67, been travelling on and off for 50 years and this is one of my favourite places, I booked for 4 days but been here for 10 so far and hoping to stay longer, nuff said. So peaceful here, 5 minutes from a truly idyllic beach (1 of 3 nearby), but a short scoot down a rugged track and there are plenty of good places to eat. Our host, Lukas, is a truly unique individual with a great knowledge of the island and its charms, cares passionately about HyperLu, seems to attract a wide variety of warm hearted people who dig the lived-in bohemian vibe of the place. If you're after a swish, manicured holiday go elsewhere but if you're after a warm-hearted authentic experience with a charismatic host you could do a lot worse than HyperLu. 10 out of 10 from me! Ps get Lukas to take you to the waterfalls, 3 within a 15 minute scoot from here.
