Lovely staff.Rustic accomodation.. Enjoyable food and fab position for other restaurants. food options reasonably priced stay Very easy close to amazing beach with powder whit sand and big torquiose sea Beautiful unspoilt islsnd with jungle walks and waterfalls.

The rooms are very simple but cozy and very clean! They are rooms with wooden walls so you can hear everything. Almost like sleeping in a tent. Which does nothing if other hotel guests respect the nighttime quiet. Which is not so obvious anymore evidently. Unfortunately, I had a very disrespectful neighbor who talked on the phone late at night and chatted in the lobby in front of the rooms . It woke me up twice at 3 a.m. In the morning you wake up to the beautiful chirping of birds, followed later, however, by the traffic on the surrounding road. The location is good, as there are several bars and markets a few meters away and a relaxing little beach. I highly recommend the local market at 300 mete with lots of fruit and much better prices than at the hotel. The Internet is not very reliable. Knowing this , is a good alternative for exploring the island without spending much.

“I felt very comfortable and I come back”

I stayed at HDGH for four nights in December and felt very comfortable! The room was simple but clean and had air conditioning. I had the outside room on the first floor, which meant I had some lovely morning visitors: birds sitting on my windowsill and sometimes even talking to me. Hosts Chris and his wife Cherry were always polite and accommodating, listened to my needs, and offered helpful tips when asked! I can't understand the bad reviews here, because Chris addresses important things even before handing over the keys – like room cleaning! If you want, the room cleaned every day, but if I'm only there for a few days, I don't need daily cleaning! There's no refrigerator in the room, but there's a large one on the ground floor by the stairs for everyone to use! They also rent out motorcycles, so everything is great! 👍🏻 If I ever come back to Koh Kood, I'll definitely stay here again! Greetings from Mr. Torsten 👋🏻

It is in a good location. The rooms are nice and clean.

The owner Chris goes above and beyond for his guests, who he knows by name, what their plans are and advises them accordingly. The thai woman who works on reception and kitchen is gorgeous and makes the nicest of food.

I booked 2 nights and ended up staying another 7. The locationwas perfect, right across the road from a beautiful beach. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants around. Waterfall nearby and other stunning beaches. Lovely place with lovely owners who are very helpful. I liked the communal area/restaurant and felt very at home here. Thank you!

Owners are kind and will sort anything out for you. Cherry is my Thai mum now ... she's awesome. Chris is practical and informative. Great team. Location is perfect. Absolutely recommend.

“Loved it!”

Chris and Cherry are excellent hosts! They make everyone feel cared for and juggle the needs of guests with smiles and a lot of good energy. They make sure to meet guests disembarking from the trucks upon arrival at the guesthouse which was a welcome sweet touch. The two hardworking staff members (Gao and Fern) add to the wonderful ambience of the guest house. The location is perfect. We spent many days on the beach just across the road happily swimming in beautiful clear water and every night at the beach bar for epic sunset views. Other beaches require a scooter which they provide on rent. Beautiful Bang Bao beach is walkable (40 min). There's shops and restaurants nearby, but the food at the guesthouse is fantastic if you don't feel like wandering far. The room was completely adequate and very clean. Happy Days is great value on Koh Kood with a great location. They provide all the services you need (onward boat/bus bookings, snorkel/dive tours, island information, scooter rental) including making sure your onward travel plans go smoothly. We were sad to leave Happy Days and this beautiful island. We would be very happy to stay here again.

“Homely feel”

The room is basic, but comfortable and clean, and you get what you paid for. It has a good sized sleeping area with double bed and a wet room. The upstairs deluxe room has aircon, a veranda with hammock. Wifi in the room was good. The location is good. There's a beautiful small beach across the road. And another about 10mins walk. Location was quiet. There's a restaurant on site and the prices are good. There's other restaurants, cafés, bars, supermarkets, on the same stretch of road. Chris and his wife Cherry own the place and they are what make this place outstanding. They're friendly and helpful, and will make sure your stay with them goes well. If you book an organised transfer the taxi will drop you off at the accommodation once you get off the boat. You can then book your onward travel and any activities with them. I stayed 4 nights. I wasn't well when I arrived and Cherry made me a rice and veg soup with egg tofu saying it was good for my stomach. It was!

Loved Koh kood and Happy Days. Switched to an ac room after the first night. Both rooms were clean and nice (good beds, shower working). Breakfast is nice and the beach is just on the other side of the road. Location is also really good you go everything in walking distance restaurants, small grocery store, 2 beaches, Dive Center,.... It's also possible to go snorkeling. (Not the best spot on the island or in Thailand but still nice) And of course you will get help for every question you have.
