“Very nice, but not the kind of place for us”
We chose Shambala because this part of the island looked very quiet and the apartments offered seemed comfortable for a reasonable price (in the buildings, there are both private apartments and others belonging to the hotel). Nothing to complain about the whole service : large and comfortable apartment (1126) ; nice view from the second floor ; excellent breakfast in the morning.

“Great resort in peaceful surroundings”
Everything! A chill and uncrowded part of Koh Chang. Lovely owners with great staff. Very welcoming. Very good room, all you need. Good breakfast, nice poolarea with bar. Empty beach right in front. A suggestion is to rent motorbike, lots of restaurants, 7-Elevens etc a mile or so away. Overall, out favourite place on Koh Chang❤️

“Excellent”
Great quiet location with a wonderful view of the beach. The local area and beach have a lot of sand flies and mosquitos so bring repellant. The rooms were excellent, spacious and fully equipped. The mattress are pretty hard but we still slept well. Staff are very polite and helpful with immediate responses. They can arrange any thing from Motorbike rental to taxi. Breakfast was great ad staff very polite and welcoming. Pool was beautiful and a good size. Beach not the best for swimming but wonderful for long early morning and late afternoon walks. Really enjoyed sitting on the balcony and enjoying the view and atmosphere. Personally i loved the locaiton as out of the hustle and bustle though you will need transport to get around. There is everything you need on the main road from Lotus Fresh to great local resturants and coffee.

“Paradise in Koh Chang”
It’s a paradise. Very quiet area with a virgin beach. The pool is clean and amazing with the bar inside. Very good breakfast with gluten-free options. The cocktails are delicious and are made with fresh fruit. The staff is so friendly. It was my birthday and they helped us get a cake and sang me happy birthday. Beds are very comfortable. The Boat House’s rooms are new, clean and spacious.

Inclusive breakfast buffet, relaxing and peaceful location away from the more continuous row of beach development common to the west side of the island. Not adjacent to the busy island highway but easy to access for travel to both east and west coasts and the ferry terminal. The island road network is horseshoe-shape, not a circuit, so the south-west and south-east are a long way apart. Shambala Resort is at the 'top' of the horseshoe if exploring the island is important to you.

“Fantastic views at sunset”
Shambhala is a fantastic resort. Beautiful location and scenery. In the quiet part of Koh Chang. Transportation : due to the location becomes expensive to get to White Beach and the other more populated location by taxi unless you hire the motor bike from the resort which is great due to no handling over your passport. This made exploring the island a absolute dream and made our stay at Shambhala a fantastic experience. I like to say to Mr Lek and all the staff that I met a very big thank you for my stay at Shambhala.

Really comfortable and clean accommodation with nice grounds. You get to see the owners at breakfast which is a nice touch. Staff as for staff they are polite and helpful (like all Thais). Lovely clean beach which was sparsely populated during the stay. About half hour walk to the town. Would recommend. Thanks guys for a lovely stay.

Beautiful location, great staff and owners. Very friendly and helpful. Spacious room, excellent AC. Nice pool (cooler than the sea), not crowded. Good breakfast. Sunbeds on sand and grass. Lots of shade if you want it, like I do. Overall, a great peaceful place.
