Idyllic. In a goldilocks position between the beach and the main road, lovely staff.

I could start by telling you about everything that is good about Maddekehaoo but that would take far too long. All I will say is, book it and add a few days. 100% you won't regret it.

It’s a beautiful and peaceful property, amazing house and pool (also the pool is a nice temperature! Usually I find pools quite cold but this one was perfect). Close to the beach. The breakfast was lovely. We stayed in the little cabin on the river and it is was so cute and cozy - you’ll be woken by the sound of nature. And ofcourse there were 2 friendly dogs who made our stay even better. Really the best b&b we’ve stayed at in a long time.

Everything was perfect. Roberto was a perfect host and the housekeeper Bou was wonderful and made breakfast the best we’ve had! The whole house is stunning and such a great location near the beach and the town facilities. We can’t thank you enough for such a wonderful stay

enchanting property close to the beach immersed in a splendid nature. The facilities were exceptional, beautiful open air design, the kind of place it’s hard to forget. My little cabin was a bijoux, comfortable and spotless clean. The owner and the staff were so delightfully attentive i was blow away by the hospitality. If i ever return to koh Chang i will book well in advance to make sure i can stay here again. 10 out of 10 for me.

“Idillic, beautiful and peaceful; close to the beach”

This stay was peaceful and met all our expectations. The property is aesthetically designed and tendered with love. You feel you’re part of a home. Everyone was welcoming and unobtrusive during our stay. Roberto checked on us regularly. The breakfasts are generous and delightfully presented with requests made to order. With limited rooms this will always be a quiet haven; one we hope to return to again. The grounds are beautiful and within a very easy walk to the beach across a floating walkway on the inlet just west of Cosy restaurant. There are plenty of beach side restaurants and massage beds to walk to; the tide was low in the evening when we visited. The pathway is well lit at night. We watched the red kites swoop down the inlet most mornings. The queen room directly on the river was of ample size for a couple and private. The mini bar is well stocked but you are only a short walk to the main road for other services. We had no trouble with mosquitos; the WiFi was consistently strong. The cleaning was spotless and the room was decorated with frangipani flowers. Thank you everyone for making our stay perfect.

Wow! What a place. So quiet and peaceful yet so close to the lively areas of this island. My partner and I both enjoyed our stay a lot. The main house and the guest house both look like they come straight out of a designer book, so beautiful. It feels very connected to the nature around it, it blends in perfectly. The rooms and showers were very clean. We enjoyed the private views over the lagoon from the room, as well as the elaborate breakfast. I much recommend staying here. Roberto, the host, is also helpful and is knowledgeable on the area and the island in general and we are happy we followed his recommendations.

A sure dream. Roberto and his wife, together with bua(?), run the most incredible place on Koh Chang. What i can i say more? Nothing. It’s the aura, their big, big heart. And not to forget - LISA.

“An Oasis to relax”

Koh Chang as an island feels quite busy which makes Maddekehaoo a true oasis of calm. The design of the place is super unique with great attention to detail. The whole house is super open and makes you feel really welcome to hang out. We absolutely loved the garden and all of the nature that is super well tended to. We saw a large gecko and tree frog and a squirrel in the garden. The great vibe of this place also comes from the people, Roberto is a great host and his wife Bi and dog Buddy the dog make this place extra special. The breakfast was the best we had in Thailand, generally a place you won’t ever want to leave again.
