Honestly, Mount Joy was exactly what I needed for myself ... An absolutely wonderful experience in the most picturesque setting, upside the hill where you can see for miles.. watch the stars at night and the lightening scatter across the sky ,like sharpened glass in a thunder storm ,far in the distance . The garden at Mount Joy.. WOW!!! There aren't many words to describe how truly magical and tranquil this place is. It will without a doubt leave an imprint on your heart. Thank you both , Mr and Mrs Yogesh for a truly memorable experience. And , Alexa the beautiful Alsation too.

From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the charm and serenity of this accommodation. If you're looking for accommodation with a view that will steal your breath away, look no further. This beautiful oasis boasts an absolutely incredible panorama of the Knysna waters. Each day began and ended with this stunning backdrop, creating unforgettable moments. Beyond the view, the hosts are incredibly beautiful people, the comfort of the rooms, the peaceful atmosphere made for a truly exceptional stay. Even though I was originally in the area for work, the serene beauty and peaceful atmosphere left such a lasting impression on me that I find myself longing to return for a leisurely holiday. Amidst the bustling schedule and work commitments, I caught glimpses of tranquil landscapes, and charming spots that seemed to whisper promises of relaxation and rejuvenation. The chance to fully immerse myself in the calm surroundings, wake up without an alarm, and savor moments of stillness without any pressures of deadlines is incredibly appealing. I imagine spending days exploring hidden trails, enjoying the gentle sounds of nature, and indulging in leisurely meals while soaking in the unhurried pace of life. Returning not just as a visitor, but as a traveler seeking rest and restoration, would allow me to truly appreciate the tranquility that first piqued my curiosity during my work trip.

The area is easy to find and close to the waterfront. It is so well decorated, the view from the cottage is just so lovely and the garden is breathtaking. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly.

Situated at the end of a road it is very quiet and peaceful. We received a very warm welcome and the host showed us around the cottage and the property. They have a beautiful garden and you have amazing views. The cottage was very cozy and was well equipped. We had a warm shower and the blankets kept us very warm during the night. The hosts even helped us getting the heater started in the living room and made sure we had everything we need.

The views from the house are fabulous. The kids loved having the loft to themselves. The gardens are a real labour of love. Super nice owners are onsite to help with anything you need.

Owners friendly and accomodative. Very hospitable. Very interesting surroundings. Pleasant and peaceful. The doggies enjoyed running around freely. Beautiful braai area and seating places all over.
