My husband and I absolutely enjoyed our stay. The B&B was very beautiful furnished, the bed was the most comfortable we have stayed in during our entire trip travelling through SA. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious. A bonus was the entertainment e.g. pool table, dart board. We can highly recommend this place.

I recently stayed at Guinea Fowl Lodge - Lagoon & Heads View B&B in central Knysna while attending an interview at Knysna Provincial Hospital, and overall my experience exceeded my expectations. Firstly, the hospitality was exceptional. During my stay, Knysna experienced heavy flooding and unfortunately a pot plant fell and damaged the door to my room, causing some water to come in near the entrance area. The hosts handled the situation professionally and kindly upgraded me to what honestly looked like one of their best rooms — very spacious, beautiful, comfortable, and probably the biggest room on the property. I really appreciated how accommodating and caring they were during an unexpected situation. The accommodation itself has a very cosy, homey feel with a charming vintage-style aesthetic. The rooms are spacious, the fireplace adds warmth and character, and the views overlooking the lagoon are absolutely beautiful. The property is also very neat and well maintained. Some highlights for me: * Amazing breakfast with a surprisingly wide variety for a B&B * Friendly and welcoming hosts and staff * Indoor and outdoor dining areas * Pool and braai area * Board games, pool table, darts and mini bar available for guests * Secure covered parking * Shuttle services available * Excellent location close to the waterfront, restaurants, and shopping mall * Only about 4 minutes from Knysna Provincial Hospital Uber is available in the area, although getting rides around lunchtime can sometimes be difficult. Also worth noting: Uber Eats is not yet widely available in Knysna, so downloading Mr D Food may help if you plan on ordering food. The only small challenge for me personally was allergies. I am quite sensitive, and I suspect either some plants around the property or the carpets may have triggered my allergies slightly. The carpets also seemed a little dusty in some areas. However, this did not take away much from the overall experience.
