Overview
First Group Knysna River Club offers luxury chalets on the edge of Knysna Lagoon, in the heart of the Garden Route. It offers a private jetty and a pool surrounded by trees. The chalets of First Group Knysna River Club are either set amongst forest ferns with garden view or along the waterfront, offering spectacular views of the Lagoon. All chalets include a fully-equipped kitchen and a private balcony. The on-site restaurant is set in the original manor house and offers a selection of sea food, vegetables and meats. The bar is available for refreshing drinks in the evenings. Guests can read a book on the sun beds by the pool. The nearest golf course is 3 km away. The Knysna Train Station is a 5 km away from the First Group Knysna River Club, as is the Kruisfontein Forest. The boat will be out of order for the next 2 weeks for yearly service, survey and licensing.

“UTTERLY HORRIFFIC, WORST EVER!”
The fact that we had NO PEACE AND QUITE. Extremely noisy guests showed up partied till the next morning, tried to open the door to our unit a number of times, scared my children. Were screaming at each other from different lodges from 6 in the morning. Guests had excessive amounts of alcohol displayed in public areas and around children. Guests were taking photos of my children without any permission. We informed them that we were checking out due to the above, we were assured by the manager/lodge representative that we will receive a full refund for the terrible inconvenience, and for our pain and suffering. We were told our refund is being arranged and we can hand back the keys and that they will be in contact. They denied us our refund. We paid for 5 nights. Only stayed for 2 and we even left the place clean and in order. We were told they fined the other guests R5000, so NOT ONLY did they keep all our money, they ENRICHED themselves with the fine monies and left us without a refund caused us inconvenience, pain and suffering, scared my children and invaded our privacy.

“Amazing stay! 1000+ stars”
I loved the location along with the location being family-friendly. Kept my 6 year old entertained on all 3 days and had the adults enjoy all the activities as well. Love the proximity of the property to the play area for kids and lagoon for early morning walks & bike rides. Elma, the host, had been incredibly accommodating throughout and attended to any additional questions or concerns. We'll definitely be back for sure! Pricing was great too
