Situated overlooking Knysna Lagoon and the distant Outeniqua Mountains, the historic Belvidere Manor Lagoonside Cottages Hotel enjoys stunning views and a tranquil location. Enjoy a farmhouse breakfast, light lunches poolside or at The Bell Tavern, then savour dinner by candlelight at Caroline’s where local ingredients are served with fine wines. For business guests, the Duthie Room is suitable for small brainstorming sessions to larger meetings, seating up to 40 delegates. Relax by the swimming pool in our beautiful colonial-style gardens (the estate is a nature-lover’s paradise with more than 270 species of birds). Then, retreat to the secluded comfort of the fireplace or the terrace in your own picturesque, spacious Cape-style cottage.

The location and the ambiance was just amazing. There was a small incident with one of the other guests but the owners came through and ensured our stay was pleasant.

“A good choice.”
You should identify the fridge plug in the rooms we used. Plugs for the fridge, kettle and coffee machine had only 2 sockets to share. Removing the fridge plug, thinking it was the kettle's, resulted in the fridge defrosting. (Reported to staff on checkout).

A lovely spacious and quiet cottage, amidst abundant bird life and close to a lovely walk along the lagoon edge. We particularly enjoyed the wonderful staff, who made us laugh, and also upgraded us!
