“Perfect place to stay”

Very comfortable and cozy apartment. Delicious breakfast and hospitable hosts. Highly recommend this place to stay and enjoy the holidays.

The location is simply great: easily reachable and you can walk down a small path shortly to arrive at the lake, which is beautiful. The staff was extremely helpful and kind, and provided us with great tips to explore the surrounding area and to go hiking. There is a nice relaxing area and you can also sit outside with a nice view and the dinner we had was very healthy and tasty. I even asked for the recipe of the breakfastcake (and received it) because it was so nice. We also really loved the cat and the internet was good enough for my work meetings in the evening.

* Hospitality - we felt welcomed from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay. * Communication - advance e-mails made sure that my need for a pet-free room was met. (I very much like that they have taken the needs of visitors with allergies into consideration in keeping their top floor rooms free from the resident animals and those of visitors.) It was good to be able to use English. * Very comfortable beds and shower room. * Design and General Comfort of the room - although the floor space is small, every thought has been given to the effective use of space, including little touches like a box of tissues in the room, and the arrangement of a working area with small shelf and seat. We were in a top-floor room, which meant angled ceilings and a dormer window - with a spectacular view across the Klimkowa reservoir to the hills beyond. Although there was a heat wave when we visited, the provision of three windows (shower room and one window in one wall, larger window overlooking the water) meant that there was better ventilation than is usual in rented accommodation. The architect had made the very best possible use of space - and I loved the commitment to using natural wood. * Food - absolutely the best breakfast buffet spread we experienced in Poland (including in four-star hotels). And it was the only place we found decaf coffee (albeit instant). Jose's Spanish cooking for two evening meals was delightful, and his baking was outstanding. * Coming to this region in order to have a better understanding of my Lemko heritage, I appreciated being able to talk with Piotr about the history of his family in Klimkowa and the land on which Barnilka had been built. Quiet and relaxing environment. Charming house, good location, great host and tasty food. You should try the Tagine dish for early dinner.
