Overview
Landhotel Vordergrub is located just outside Kitzbühel, within 2 km of the famous Kitzbühler Horn mountain. It offers comfortable, traditionally decorated rooms with balconies and free access to Wi-Fi. All rooms at this family-run hotel are equipped with a flat-screen TV and cable TV. The balconies overlook the scenic landscape of the Kitzbühel Alps. The Vordergrub has a Tyrolean style restaurant which has been renovated in 2010. It serves local cuisine in a traditional dining room. Meals are also served on the sunny terrace during summer. The bar is set around the open fire place where guests can relax in the evening. The spacious garden features a children’s playground. A children’s playroom is available in the hotel. Landhotel Vordergrub offers a ski storage room and sells ski passes. Guests can enjoy Kitzbühel ski area with its various cable cars, 2 km away from the hotel.

Breakfast was simple. We are happy with breakfast as it is convenient to have some warm food before you start a day in a snowy weather. It is not crowded at breakfast hall so my kids and I could spend some times slowly eating and chatting. Parking is convenient too, free and ample of space. Location is perfect, only 4km drive from Kidsbuhel, where my kids skied everyday. Within short driving distance there are supermarket and some small shopping outlet.

“Overpriced and impersonal, shame for such a lovely building in great location”
Location and the actual building were amazing. Very cozy restaurant area. Staff during our evening meals were friendly. The evening meals were very delicious. (Thankfully we arrived before fish week started with a limited menu). Easy drive to the Hahnenkammbahn. Hotel was in a lovely quiet location with plenty of parking.

“i am sure i will not be happy to stay there again”
the breakfast was Ok. although very basic BF the lady asked if we want eggs scrambled or fried and they prepared as we needed. location is Ok.

“Nice enough place, but not a great welcome.”
Nice enough but the staff were about to leave when we arrived, even though it was only 5 pm. I asked for an extra blanket, which they got, but rather reluctantly. Room was nice enough but a bit small.

“Pretty traditional hotel”
Pretty traditional Austrian hotel and restaurant. Very friendly welcome. Nice rooms with balcony. Very dog friendly. Food was excellent.
