Location was excellent, close to the main town of Kitsuki (which is lovely and interesting), the gateway to the beautiful Kunisaki Peninsula. Also close to supermarkets and laundromat if needed. The hosts were very welcoming and provided lots of information on local sights to see and good restaurants. The accommodation itself was very roomy with lots of homely touches, lots of eclectic pretty crockery and cups - was nice to choose a cup to your mood for a morning cuppa! Complimentary coffee and green tea sachets. Will definitely use this accommodation for a base again when exploring the area. So much to seen and do in the surrounding area.

“Amazing home-like property whether you're visiting Kitsuki, Beppu or nearby areas!”
Superb property. A standalone unit located next to the host's house. The property is furnished well and reminded me of a personal bach/summer house, feels like home - loved it. The property is well equipped - a full-blown kitchen with everything you need to cook, a bathroom, a dining table, a fridge, free Wi-Fi, and free parking. The owner left some "welcome" ice cream in the freezer and then brought a watermelon he had grown in his garden as a welcome gift. Nice touch. Big supermarket store right next door - food, drinks, medicines etc. (cash only). Great location - close to major Katsuki attractions, not long drive to Beppu. The host is very friendly and helpful. At the end of the stay, he gave us a tour of Kitsuki samurai residences which was a great bonus. Thank you, sir, it was much appreciated. I highly recommend to stay here if you're visiting Kitsuki, Beppu or nearby areas.

“Best location to explore the best of Oita!”
Very convenient location to explore the Kunisaki peninsula by car. The owner is super friendly and helpful. This accommodation has everything you might need. There were all the cooking utensils(rice cooker, several pans, fridge, Japanese cups and plates etc). The room was spacious and spotless clean. Kunisaki peninsula has so many beautiful pilgrimage trails, I would recommend this place for anyone who is interested to explore Kunisaki peninsula. Also only 30min by car to the famous Beppu area. Will definitely come back!

“A VERY COMFORTABLE STAY WITH EXCELLENT HOSTS!”
The accommodation was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen facilities were excellent. There were shops and restaurants a short walk away. The most impressive for me however, was the host Ken, and his wife. They were very kind and friendly, and more than willing to help with any local information I needed. He gave recommendations for restaurants and for sightseeing in the beautiful town of Kitsuki. Ken went out of his way to help me when my travel plans went awry due to some serious weather conditions - thanks again for your kindness. I would highly recommend Guesthouse Return for anyone staying in the area.

Guesthouse RETURN is a lovely two story house located in the town of Kitsuki. It was super spacious with living, dining and bedrooms. It is next to a supermarket (コスモス), so it is very easy to get items. The owner, Mr Aso, was very friendly and showed us around the town of Kitsuki in the next morning, even though it was raining. Kitsuki is a beautiful town. Thank you very much Mr Aso for the wonderful stay.

The owner Aso-San from Kitsuki is a super sweet person. Walked half an hour brought us to a local Japanese grill for dinner because he worried us would incapable to order foods. Leave us ice creams because today is hot. He even brought us into a local high school to see the kendo class because we’re asking why the kids are screaming.
