Overview
Located within Bandai-asahi National Park and by Lake Hibara and Goshikinuma Volcanic Lakes, Urabandai Lake Resort offers accommodation with free WIFi in Kitashiobara. Featuring views, the on-site shared bath makes use of natural free-flowing hot spring water. Free private parking is available at the hotel. Rooms include a flat-screen TV, refrigerator and a seating area. An en suite bathroom is fitted with a bath, hairdryer and bath amenities. The new building was renovated in April 2017 and boasts spacious rooms with an elegant decor. There are Japanese-style and French-style restaurants, and guests can sample a buffet spread for breakfast and dinner. A cafe and a bar are also available on site. Leisure facilities include karaoke facilities, darts, billiard, golf simulator. Urabandai Lake Resort provides free shuttle service to/from JR Inawashiro Station and ski resorts in the vicinity. An on-site gift shop offers local specialties and local sake rice wine. Massage and bike rental services can be requested on site. Goshikinuma Lake is just a 3-minute walk from the property. JR Inawashiro Station is 30 minutes by car from Urabandai Lake Resort.

It is a super wonderful and exciting stay. I wish I have more time to stay for more. It is one of the heaviest snow area in Japan. We were sooo lucky that it was snowing during our stay. The kid was super excited! Onsen is wonderful, food nice, spacious room. The shuttle bus to nearby ski resort is very convenient.

“Brilliance by the lake”
Proximity to ski resorts. Amazing traditional Japanese meals and such kind, helpful staff. The onsen experience was also a special treat while it was snowing.

The location in the Bandai-Asahi National Park and access to the 5lakes walking trail was a real bonus. The onsen was super with 3 baths for each gender, including an outside bath. Breakfast and dinner buffets were good value as the foods varied and were plentiful. Don't expect gourmet offerings, but there are many options. Shuttle service to and from the railway station was also appreciated. Room was spacious, although the carpet was worn. Staff are friendly. Faily room Service. Coin laundries are available, contact Reception for location and laundry detergent as they are not shown on the hotel 'map'.

The location is very convenient if you want to go to Goshiki no Mori, in front of the hotel you already can see the Mt Bandai! The dinner and breakfast is also very nice. The onsen is very big and comfortable.

“Not bad”
The staff was warm and welcoming, even though they didn’t speak much English. Communication was possible thanks to Google Translate, and they made a real effort to help us. The room was very clean, and the hotel’s location is absolutely stunning, with an incredible view of Mount Bandai. A peaceful and scenic setting that invites relaxation.

“Lovely stay but lacks a good electric kettle in the room.”
The view from the room, the buffet - plenty of variety, the onsen - especially the rotemburo, the amazing closet and the huge bathroom and bedroom.
