Boasting an open-air bath and multiple hot springs baths, Oehonke offers freshly made seasonal meals. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property and free private parking is available on site. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They provided me with extra large yukata without prompting upon seeing my size. The onsen was relaxing and varied in several different baths and the restaurant buffet was extremely varied and tasty.

“Excellent reception staff”
The hotel may be old school in build and look but the staff were exceptional. They went out of their way to assist in booking an excellent yakiniku dinner for us and even printed out instructions in English to ensure we found our way there and could order easily. They called the restaurant which was not available for reservations online and we had a great time there.

“It's a challenge for foreigner, but doable.”
I'm staying here mainly for its Onsen and seeing foxes! Fox fam is literally next door, but there's no direct pathway, so you have to walk around 1km across the river twice. The hotel has shuttle service to their parking lot across the river, but not to the fox farm. When I was staying there, the shuttle has no passenger, so they offered to take us to fox farm :). Which is a great help, because the path to fox farm was a little uphill. Dinner and Breakfast was served with buffet style, there are a lot of options. The taste is not bad, but cannot compare to Ryoukan style Breakfast/Dinner that is served on table.
