“Excellent, fresh and friendly”
The young male receptionist was very enthusiastic and helpful. Even though he couldn’t speak English, he still used a translation device to carefully guide me through the check-in process. He allowed me to complete the check-in procedures early and gave me the room key card right away, so when I returned at 3 PM, I could go straight to my room. He was always smiling and friendly with guests, which left a very good impression on me. He was also quite cute. The hotel is very close to the train station. They provide free breakfast—although it’s not very diverse, it’s still suitable for guests and enough to recharge energy for a long day. The room for two people is just the right size and very clean. If I return to Kitakami, I would still choose Toyoko.

Breakfast is good and it is quite close to the railway station. There is a convenience store nearby. You can also go along the near river to the park.

“Great hotel, close to station and ski bus.”
We like the location to the station and the free dinner curry provided during the week. It was very nice. We stayed there to ski at Geto Kogen and it was close to the bus stop which was outside the station. There was seven 11 at back of hotel and a Lawsons nearby as well.

“Great simple hotel next to Kitakami train station with access to Geto Kogen”
Conveniently located next to the Kitakami train station and the bus stop to Geto Kogen in the morning. There are a lot of restaurants and bars on the opposite side of the station (opposite side exit). I wasn't expecting the hotel to provide guests with curry and rice for dinner complimentary in the lobby on the night I stayed so this sorted out my meal for the evening considering I had been travelling all day and I was very tired (is this a normal service? I just went with the flow). Luggage storage after checkout, washer and dryer facilities on the lobby floor. Clean and comfortable room generally.
