“Came for the view, stayed for the vibes”

The vibe of the staff is absolutely unmatched, I had so much fun from start to finish to Yves, Willison, Eric and Ardo. The first night I arrived Yves and I walked into the local town together, he speaks great English and is super friendly. After dinner we sat and talked, sung and danced for hours. I ended up extending my stay by an extra night because I was having such a good time with them all. They were all there to help at all times and made me feel really comfortable as a solo female traveller and the only guest staying at the hotel. Eric makes delicious food, you have to try his soups and chapatis! The room is basic but comfortable, shower gets super hot.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is close to the bus stop for arrival or to visit the park. Great breakfast and dinner. Beautiful view and quite rooms.

“A perfect stop over for an outdoorsy solo traveler to take in the nature”

The view is magnificent and Adeline a true gem! Adeline became like a little sister to me although I only stayed one night. She kept me company since I was the only guest at the time, we had great talks, she took me to a little walk in nearby area, carried a little moveable “firepit” next to me while I had dinner on the terrace on a chilly evening and made sure I got on the bus the next morning that took me to the Uwinka Visitor Center (45 min bus ride). The room isn’t fancy, but serves its purpose; a bed with blankets, toilet, warm water in the shower. This place is for enjoying the mountain views, tea fields and being outdoors, not for staying in your room 😊 The location is an ideal place to have a stop over between Kigali and Nyungwe National Park activities like zip lining and canopy walk. I took a Volcano Express bus from Kigali (~5 hours with one longer toilet/coffee and snacks break) to Nyungwe Eco Village, getting off at the IPRC Kitabi bus stop (tell the bus driver) and then just a short walk to Nyungwe Eco Village. Note that the path right across the bus stop takes you up to a different accommodation, so walk a bit further on the tarmac road and then you will find the right place (there definitely should be a more visible sign, I accidentally found myself first from a wrong establishment). Although I only stayed one night, I felt that two nights would have been ideal to experience the breathtaking mountainous greenery this area in Rwanda offers. The price may feel quite high for Rwanda, but it is on the low end of the budget compared to other places in this area in my opinion. Yves was an incredibly helpful and knowledgeable host. Helped us to plan our trip into Nyungwe and understand the logistics well ahead of time as well as an enjoyable tea plantation hike. Wonderful location and views.

“A worth going back experience”

during my stay at Nyungwe village i liked many things including the location of the hotel which is on a tarmac road and easily accessible by any car, the balcony with the forest view, the staff was so friendly and the rooms are worth the money.

All is incredible, food, drinks,View, confort, affordable, real eco friendly, hospitality and really knowledgeable and professional staffs I will come back 😍

The wonderful staff. Locally run by the most enthusiastic and delightful staff. Able to offer any help needed with local information or organising local and National Park trips. Food locally sources and cooked to order. Facilities simple but entirely adequate. Location amazing.

Beautiful views, lovely open terrace for breakfast and dinner, big fire pit, parking, restaurant, lovely friendly and helpful staff. Good stay for a few nights I recommend it.

The hosts are super friendly and welcoming and will help you to provide you a great stay. The rooms are what you would expect in these regions, the beds were very comfortable and our room as well as the public spaces were very clean. Warm water was working as well as cell cervice and power. What we will also remember was their very tasty and selfmade food and on top they were so kind to respect all of our wishes regarding what and at what time we would like to eat! Thank you very much, we will definitely come again :)

“worth to spend one or two nights if time allows”

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice location with beautiful view. Good breakfast and other dishes to enjoy for dinner. Extra effort was put in place to provide hot water. Once you know how to adjust, you can enjoy a hot shower. worth to go for a guided Tour outside of the national park. Yves is eager to share knoweledge and makes the hike enjoyable.

Gem of a National Park. Yves was welcoming and personable. They prepared hot water so I could wash up in the evening after my hike.
