Great hostel with very friendly and helpful staff. The location is perfect, right in the city center, and everything was clean and well-maintained. I had a really pleasant stay and would definitely recommend it

Incredibly helpful staff. Ivan not only helped us book bus tickets, but also brought us to the bus stop and waited with us until it came, which was a couple of hours. We would have been lost without him.

Food was decent with a good selection on the menu. I did have to send back my dinner though because the hamburger was served cold. The staff and owner are very friendly and most speak good English. Rooms are clean and nicely furnished.

“Amazing Base for Gorilla Trekking on a Tighter Budget”

Friendly and helpful staff. Kule, Trust and Rachel were attentive and supportive and enthusiastic. Ivan the owner helped us book the gorilla trekking for a very fair price. It's a perfect base to go gorilla trekking on a tighter budget. I would highly recommend booking through Ivan and staying here for the trekking. Ivan himself was away, so perhaps we didn't get the perfect experience previous reviews suggest! But he was very helpful and responsive from afar.

Basic room and facilities but comfortable enough. Location is good. Ivan the host is a great source of information and happy to assist with anything. He makes the place.

“Perfect”

It‘s an amazing place in Kisoro. It’s clean, big and cozy. The staff and the manager Ivan are incredible friendly and helpful. He took us for a walk through the authentic Kisoro and showed us the best sunset-viewpoint. He helped us planning all our activities in Uganda and we booked our Gorilla trekking experience with them. We can highly recommend to do this as well. We would stay there anytime again!

“This place isn't the greatest - but is there better in town? Managers are great.”

The interim manager was great - she was super friendly and helpful. The head manager was out of town but we met him the morning we checked out - he was also super friendly, caring. Food was fine. Fine location. They were extremely helpful and caring with our motorcycle parking and arranged to have it stored in the locked courtyard of a neighboring business (there is no secure parking on the premises, and they didn't feel comfortable with our bike parked on their terrace, even if locked to a post). Food was tasty.

Exceptionally helpful and kind staff, especially the owner Ivan. He showed us around town and even took us on a small hike and bike tour.

The staff and the owner were really nice. The breakfast was really good, particularly the samosas. There is a covered courtyard. The parking in the street was safe, as there is a bank next door with guards.

Ivan was an incredible host. Not only did he sort out my gorilla tracking excursion at a very reasonable price, but he also came to Rwanda to meet me and collect the money since the permit has to be paid for in cash. I was a little apprehensive about handing over that amount of money but he went out of his way to allay my concerns and I found him extremely trustworthy. He also helped me with my onward travel plans. I can't recommend him enough.

Really good place to stay. Ivan is an exceptional host and goes above and beyond. The communication and information supplied was quick and accurate. Ivan and his team make guests feel welcome and special. Highly recommended.
