“Wonderful stay in Lapland”

The house has absolutely everything you need. It is a bit remote from Kiruna which makes it a perfect place for relaxing in the nature and enjoying the auroras if you have your own car. Although we never saw the owner, he was extremely helpful and responsive. Thanks again we had a wonderful stay.

“COZY HOUSE IN AN ISOLATED PART OUTSIDE KIRUNA”

Overall, we really did enjoy the house. As a family of 4, we stayed there just after Christmas in winter. It was very cozy, clean and well equipped. There was enough amenities in the kitchen, which was handy. The house was also very well heated it was never cold. What you need in winter!! There's also a nice fireplace. Note this house is about a 10 minute drive to the town of Kiruna. It's also very close to a beautiful lake, which is frozen in winter - spectacular. You definitely need a car, so hiring a car is essential.

“Reasonable stay little outside the city centre in Kiruna”

The location was beautiful. Away from the city of Kiruna so only useful if you have a car. But it was so beautiful that we could just see the auroras outside our window. Has all facilities needed for a few nights in Kiruna.

“Lovely, warm and cozy cabin in nature”

Lovely cabin in nature, surrounded by a few other cabins, the forest and a large lake. The cabin is spaceous, cozy, clean and very warm. The bed is confortable, the hot water was never scarce and the in-hous toilet and shower were ok. Large fully equiped kitchen, dinning area and lounge room. The porch was lovely for morning coffees and spotting northern lights from the confort of staying at home. Lovely walks from the cabin and dog sledding tours 5 minutes away. I can only recommend!

“Fabulous little cottage by lake and woods!”

This place is perfect if you want a quiet location with Alttajärvi lake on one side and the woods and hill on the other side. We enjoyed the winter walks along the trails and walking on the lake! The location is perfect to spot northern lights and being close to IRF you can use the Aurora Alert on IRF Aurora App. Even when cloudy in Kiruna, Alttajärvi had clear sky with amazing star display of the milky way. Not much light pollution here!! Kiruna is only 15 mins away by car. The house has what you need for a few days. Washing machine has a 15min program and things dry easily over night on radiators or the clothes airer. Sheets and towels are provided. The fireplace is an extra plus! You can buy wood at petrol stations! Husky tours you will found everywhere! The mine is worth a visit! Northern light chase is for people without a car, you just need to step outside when nature decide to put on a display. Abisko has clearer nightsky so the probability to see it increases if you take yourself there.

“Very friendly host and a chic house”

It was a real pleasure to check in after 31 hours of driving. The host had already preheated the house nicely (the outside temperature was -34 degrees) and you immediately felt comfortable. We lit the small fireplace and really enjoyed our stay. The location is great, right on a huge lake, surrounded by great forests. The host is very friendly and helpful, organizes almost everything you want and responds very quickly to inquiries. In short: We are very satisfied and would love to come back.

Position top for sightseeing and nature! Big cozy house for couple and groups! The staff helped us to plan the snowmobile tour and city pick up!
