Overview
Adventure Hotel Geirland is 3 km off the Route 1 Ring Road and 3 minutes’ drive from Kirkjubæjarklaustur village. All rooms offer tea/coffee facilities and views of the surrounding mountain ridge. Some of Geirland’s cosy rooms are set in individual cottages in the garden. Free Wi-Fi is available in the main building. Guests can enjoy an onsite restaurant and bar. Lunch packs can be made on request. Skaftafell National Park is 60 minutes’ drive from Adventure Hotel Geirland.

“A full service hotel with great breakfast”
It's a big hotel with good staff and amenities. The rooms are decent sized and breakfast is more than adequate. The hotel is situated 3-4 kms off the main road. The access road to the hotel - last 3-4 kms is a rough gravel road. That is the only negative thing about the hotel The hotel is made up of 2 main buildings with multiple rooms in each building. Apart from these there were many individual cottages - most probably bigger accommodations. Staff was present even in the evening for check in assistance. A rarity in Iceland. They even have a restaurant and bar. Our triple room was decent sized with 3 individual comfortable beds. The bathroom was neat and clean but without locks. This seems to be the norm in all Iceland hotels. The breakfast area was big and with sufficient choices. A bit expensive but that is how Iceland is. I can easily recommend this hotel. It is a very good option in case you don't find accommodation in Vik.

Location is great - you will have nice views of the nearby green hills, and it is located just by the road if you are doing the south coast. Breakfast is OK (not more than that)

“Best view money can buy”
Was it the most expensive room of our trip? Yes. Was it the best room of our trip? Also yes. The rooms are new, it looks amazing, everything you need is there, the mountain view with the sheeps is just straight out of a movie. Amazing.

Perfectly situated with an amazing view from the rooms. Clean, high quality furniture, good breakfast and restaurant. A lot of nice walks nearby.

“Functional country hotel for one night”

DIGITAL AUTOMATIC OR SELF CHECK IN THROUGH CODES THEY SEND YOU, VERY HANDY IF YOU ARE TRAVELING AND DON'T WANT TO HAVE THE PRESSURE TO ARRIVE A CERTAIN HOUR TO CHECK IN. 10/10 STANDARD GOOD AND COMPLETE BREAKFAST.
