Amazing experience. Location is optimal, right in front of the market and bus stop. The hotel offer access to three private onsens. Also I was allowed to leave my luggage early before check in and also a few hours after checking out

Wonderful dinner and breakfast. The Japanese room is so comfortable. Onsen is great and relexing. The staff provided attentive and considerate service, even they cannot speak English. Everything is perfect!

Nice Onsen

“Charming one-of-a-kind hotel with delicious kaiseki-style dinner and several private onsens”

Very friendly staff. Great dinner in several courses, different both days. Two private onsens inside, and three partially open air outside the building. Great location in center of village, with convini and possibilities for lunch around the corner. Our Japanese-style room (307) had its own toilet and sink (but not own shower, you have to go to onsen on first floor or outside for that). Futons were made ready for sleeping while we had dinner.

We liked the very friendly staff, the very tasty food and the view on the forest from our room. Outdoor onsen was amazing.

“Perfect stay in Kirishima”

Old school hotel but comfortable and clean. Very quiet and peaceful. All onsen are private. Great food! Make sure to get the half-board option. Everything is loving prepared. And the staff make sure you are very well taken care of. Excellent!

Good typical Japanese breakfast.

The breakfast and kaiseki dinner were really good. Dinner had different composition on each night and both fish and meat courses were very tasty. The baths were clean and the private bath system worked really well.

The onsen baths here are fantastic. I tried both the indoor and outdoor ones, and found that their temperatures are perfect for winter in Kyushu (the outdoor ones have very good atmosphere). Would love to come back to Kirishima for some hiking and end each day with a good soak in the baths here. The breakfast was very yummy (didn't have dinner here this time)

For the price, we were surprised by the food. Especially dinner surpassed by far what we expected. The fact that all onsen are small private baths is also perfect for couples or people with tattoos.

We only stayed 1 night. It was fine. A little old fashioned but to me that ads character. The staff is friendly, and having multiple private Onsens was great. If you want dinner at the hotel make sure to reserve up front. They dont take same night eaters. There is lots of parking space.

My booking came with private bath and spa bath. Room is spacious for 5pax. Public spa was clean and guest can use privately. Onsen market is beside the hotel. If lucky, with clear sky, can view sparkling stars.

Staff being really nice and breakfast is awesome!Also there are onsen that you could rent for private and at no cost.

Loved everything about this place. Hosts and staff were wonderful, food was great and rooms were clean and comfortable.

“Convenient, nice homely onsen, great value”

Outdoor onsen next to car park so it was necessary to walk out in the cold (1 minute) before getting to a bath. But by gosh the onsen water was hot! After our bath we were so toasty and warm we could have walked around in our yukata for ages! Fantastic location of hotel as next to Lawson and main info area. Good kaiseki breakfast served by genuinely warm and lovely obasan. Friendly. Just opposite a great bbq beef restaurant.

The food was so so so good. Its very impress, all dishes no matter dinner and breakfast all very good and yummy,

The staff is amazing. The people who served us at breakfast were fantastic! The room is a simple traditional tatami room. The outdoor and outdoor private bathroom are the pluses of this hotel.
