Overview
A 30-minute drive from Kagoshima Airport, Kirishima Kokusai Hotel features total of 9 hot spring baths, including mud pack, indoor and outdoor baths. Private hot spring bath can be reserved for an extra charge as well. Individually decorated, the property offers both Japanese and Western style rooms. The bath is extremely good. We asked for a more quiet room and the guy at the counter was super nice and helpful. Food was great as well

“Nice, but quite old hotel with onsen”
Nice hotel with onsen. They also offered free coffee etc. the buffet for breakfast and dinner were also really good. The onsen is also nice

Huge indoor onsen. Amazon rooms and buffet. Right next to bus station which is always a plus.

“Great onsen hotel.”
A fantastic mega onsen facility with a huge buffet breakfast with so many choices. Close to convenience stores. Fun options like ping pong and photo booths. Onsen was lovely with mid bath and steam room and outdoor area. Recommend.

“A rainy foggy time in Kirishima”
Nice Onsen, in/outdoors. Good buffet dinner. Helpful staff, especially when thick fog stopped us from leaving in the morning. Would stay again.

Great atmosphere at the bath and a great variety of hot spring spaces. Especially liked the outdoor bath. Ice cream after the bath was also enjoyable.

Rooms are amazing with beautiful views. Food is classy and everyone is super nice. I had stickers for hidding my tattoos but i did not notice anyone was really strickt about checking and hotel spa experience was very relaxed and cozy but rather small compairing to spas in Europe

“Was not treated well by some of the staff”
Food, onsen and rooms were satisfactory. Dinner buffet had a broad variety of high quality food with local specialties and they had a huge chart of allergens for every dish there. Breakfast was also good, mainly Japanese cuisine but also some Chinese and Western. Rooms were comfortable. Their spa services were very nice - get their head massage. Onsen was clean and they switched the male and female baths signs every day so you could experience both locations. The parking staff was very kind and helpful when arriving and leaving.
