The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had vegetarian meals throughout our stay that were very nicely presented, authentic and tasted good. The location for hiking the volcanoes is excellent... some of the best hiking we've experienced. The grounds are beautiful, and we enjoyed wandering through the cedar forest.

Breakfast and Dinner are good. Onsen is nice, too. Kirishima So-Ju is free in the lobby. We saved a lot of money for alcohol.

“Great starting point to enjoy the nature of Mount Karakuni”
We were six friends trekking in Kyushu volcanos and needed a place near Mt. Karakuni. The hotel was excellent, convenient nice food and good location.

“Traditional Onsen hotel with large onsen, clean rooms and authentic jap meals”
It’s clean with a big onsen - including a big open air pool. We managed to catch the sunset from our room - it’s beautiful. We chose the half board package - which includes a sumptuous dinner and breakfast spread, which is pretty good value for money. The hotel has a small cedar tree park which you can take a short 15-minute walk to admire the trees.

All meals are excellent. Food is varied and well-prepared. There is a large hot spring. The front staff are nice and kind with a good service mindset.

“Very comfortable two night stay during our tour of Kyushu”
We spent 2 nights here exploring the area. Hotel location is excellent. The room was nice and the Onsen excellent - even has an outdoor space. Breakfast was good and there was lots of parking.

The 100 year old cedar forest and the location in the clouds with sulphur steam floating in the air. The view from the room was amazing
