“Great rural location.”

We stayed in the main building. Our room was a bit small but we had 2 private onsen, one inside and one open-air on the balcony. The onsen were great and you could adjust the temperature. We had breakfast and dinner included and the food was very fresh and plentiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were microwaves available for guest use. The location was very good for Takachiho mountain, Ryoma onsen and the airport. A car is recommended because the bus service is infrequent.

We had a short but very pleasant stay at this hotel. From the very beginning, everything was smooth and well organized – especially the taxi coordination from the airport, which made our arrival completely stress-free. We were genuinely surprised by how charming and cozy the hotel was. It felt much more special than we had expected and immediately gave us a warm welcome. Even though we arrived later than the usual check-in hours, everything had been perfectly prepared for us, and the staff remained incredibly kind and accommodating throughout. The service overall was very friendly, uncomplicated, and attentive. There was even an airport shuttle available in the morning, which was very convenient. The location is quiet and relaxing – perfect for a peaceful stay. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night, but what stood out the most was the exceptional friendliness of the staff. You can really feel the effort and care they put into making guests feel welcome. Considering the level of service and comfort, the price felt absolutely fair. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

We booked the Twin Room with Open-Air Bath and it was incredible! Both inside and outside baths were amazing. There is a free shuttle bus from and to the Kokubu Station within certain hours. This is a perfect accommodation for a short stay to relax, birthdays or special anniversaries.

Perfect location for one night to visit the surrounding area. Staff was helpful and room was clean, with the plus of a big private onsen attached to the room.

Clean Onsen is good

Private onsen next to room with adjustable water temperature. Most helpful staff with good recommendations for restaurants. Pyjamas as well as yukatas available. The little wooden hut where the onsen water came out needs replacing as the wood is worn down.

“Great onsen, friendly staff and good service”

Although the room was very small, the adjacent private onsen was awesome and also the staff was very helpful and provided shuttle transfer to the next train station for arrival and departure and also during our stay for day trips. We spent four nights at the place and had a great time, taking trips to Kagoshima, Izumi, spent a day hiking in the surrounding hills and recovered at the onsen in the evenings.

The room was really nice with a private stone onsen. The staff was extremely accommodating, helping me out with a number of things. I was struggling to get a taxi for an early flight, so they offered me a lift themselves to help me out. They also helped me print out my boarding pass. Lovely people, thank you so much!

Having own onsen in the room was fantastic. Gramping tent was spacious and comfortable. Free drink was very generous.

Quiet location, one of the better private onsen hotels in the area.
