“Worth a visit”

Great staff. Really helpful and kind! The made our stay special. A perfect place to stay before and after your safari-trip. Nice and clean rooms.

I spent two nights at Tringa Villas as a solo traveller and loved every moment. Nuwan and the team were incredibly friendly, warm and attentive, going above and beyond to make me feel welcome. When I mentioned that the menu felt a bit too Western for my taste, they prepared for me Sri Lankan dishes—each one absolutely delicious. The black pork curry, string hoppers, egg hoppers, and several other curries were especially memorable. The rooms are very clean and massive—plenty of space to relax, unpack, and feel at home. The pool is another highlight well-maintained and perfect for unwinding after a safari. Just a heads-up, there are insects in the pool, but that’s nature for you. Chill near the water jets and they won’t bother you. The safari tour organised by Tringa Villas was exceptional. Chaneeka, my guide, was amazing—his instincts and knowledge of the wildlife were next-level. I saw elephants, a leopard, and countless other animals. The leopard sighting was particularly special: it happened at a busy waterhole where several other vehicles had gathered, yet only Chaneeka spotted it hidden in the undergrowth. Thanks to his sharp eyes, we were the only two who saw it. The moment was brief but magical. Throughout the safari, he pointed out animals I would’ve completely missed-he truly has a gift. Breakfast is thoughtfully provided for the early morning safari, which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Nuwan also played mechanic and fixed my tuk-tuk, I am forever grateful as this allowed me to save time going to my next destination. I would absolutely recommend Tringa Villas to anyone visiting the area—especially solo travellers—and I genuinely hope to return.

“Loved it”

Staff were very nice, rooms were very big, very clean, very comfy able. Good ac and hot water. Breakfast was simple but good. Eggs how you like on toast with jams and fruit. It is a bit out of the way which you expect in the area. There is a restaurant on site and if you have a tuktuk its not far to the beach etc.

I liked the layout of the hotel with the pool in the center, the close location to the Yala entrance and the very kind staff! The rooms are very spacious. The breakfast was also very nice with a few options (English breakfast or Sri Lankan), but we opted out for dinner elsewhere due to mixed reviews.

“Fantastic stay, great location to do”

We stayed the night before doing Safari. Would have loved to stay an extra night. Lovely spot, that is peaceful and quiet, rooms are an excellent size and access to the pool was great!

“Bad experience, way overpriced, awful food.”

It was very pretty outside. And the rooms looked nice on first impression. A/C worked in our room and shower was okay. Manager did go out to get some bread and other food that they couldn’t make in house for us.

Its good and helthy BF and location is really good .. sourounding of the room is unbelievable lot of Birds souds and staff is very frindly food is excellent . I really happy to stay my holiday such a greeny, peasfull & cool place.

We were lucky and had the property to ourselves, the rooms are large and comfortable very clean, the staff were lovely they allowed us to bring our own drinks which was nice around the pool, food was also lovely.

It is very much on its own and in the jungle. We enjoyed the isolation. Also, it only took a short journey to get to Yala for our safari. The pool was nice and the room spacious.

Tringa Villas at Kirinda was a highlight during my visit to Sri Lanka. Beautiful property, clean & well maintained room. The room is provided with all the required facilities. Staff was very helpful. Good breakfast provided. The owner arranged a safari trip for me. Overall, it is a fantastic place to stay if you want to visit the Yala National Park.

Large, very confortable well appointed bungalows overlooking lovely pool and gardens.

Need to pay more attention on room cleaning thing. Foods are very good & tasty. Very kindness staff.

The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The pool was lovely and the staff were absolutely wonderful! This property is unpretentious but it satisfies all one's needs.
